About 10-15 years before "Rogue One"/"A New Hope"

Long time SW fan here since the very beginning, May 25, 1977.
I found the movie enjoyable. The characters and what was going on was believable. Action and pace were good throughout the movie. The timeline for this one is 10-15 years before the events of Rogue One/A New Hope. The Empire was trying to reign in control over the Galaxy, with factions of "rebels" and "crime syndicates" appearing all over the place. There were 20 years between "Revenge of the Sith" and "A New Hope", so there is so much that can be told and seen in that timeframe. I am eager to see more of Han Solo and Chewbacca where they first come into contact with Jabba The Hutt.

Great movie! But Bewarned that this edition ONLY includes the 4K UHD Disc and a Digital Copy. For $30 this should have included a regular Blu-ray disc. I have only one 4K UHD disc player in my home theater and the 4K disc is useless in the rest of my players. Disappointed in this purchase!

You have the 4K/Digital copy only version. The Steel book version has the regular Blu-ray in it as well for about 5 bucks more. Your link in your review shows the picture stating there is NO Blu-ray in the package.

This has been showing as coming soon for a few months. Initial pre-orders were super under supplied and it never restocked. Stores show zero stock for release day. And yet people on ebay are selling 10+ copies.

You should have put in for a pre-order as soon as you saw this steelbook on the website. I did just that and got 1 copy, which is all I wanted.

Love the steel books. The only negative about this is the cardboard box they came in. It's thick enough but should have been put in a steel shell like The Lord of the Rings Other than that, it's a great series in awesome steel book cases.

John Carpenter’s follow up to the classic Escape from New York is a bit of a hit and miss. There are some likable characters this go round and Snake has the one-liners completely covered. A rehashed story similar to the structure from the original movie, albeit in a new locale, weakens it overall. A short runtime makes it worthwhile for a popcorn action flick, so sit back and watch the explosions! Note: The 4K presentation is amazing, color grading and grain structure are all in respectable standards for this release. I had to return this product before opening because of an audio issue with the surround sound track. This is documented online and Paramount is aware and offering a disc replacement program to fix this. If you have a white UPC code on the back, you’ll need a replacement, but if there is a yellow UPC code, you’re in the clear.

It clearly states on the box 1995-2002. It does NOT say complete collection. Those have already been issued separately, 1 -5.

Shout Factory already released the first 5 in the lineup, nice packaging, separately some time ago. This set completes the movies, but it was under Miramax, and they had to get licensing for another release on 4K. It's all in one package with a nice box.

Had to grab this 4k Bluray version of Dawn of the Dead one of my favorite zombie horde movies. You get a 4k unrated version, plus a bluray unrated, and also the theatrical version on a Bluray (3 Disc) and they're loaded with special features, would recommend.

Retrogaming fans and pop-culture enthusiasts have been clamoring for it, and here it is courtesy of Arcade1Up: the Atari Legacy CENTIPEDE Edition home arcade machine, for the first time in a form factor shaped just like the original classic arcade cabinet!
There are misleading images of this unit's screen size when showing Centipede. The game is a vertical game as it should be. However, there are photos of it being squashed or horizontal. Which is it?

So, what's the actual date of release now? Arcade 1up had it in March and Best Buy says Dec. 31, 2021. lol There are many of us eagerly awaiting to get this unit when Arcade 1up SAYS and sends an email stating it is READY for Preorder.

No, I do not believe it will contain the unaltered original trilogy. Those are only available in the THX Widescreen/Full Screen Editions on VHS and Laserdisc from 1995.
George Lucas did release them on DVD in 2004 as a bonus in another package but they were not remastered or restored. They were inferior copies to say the least.
All 9 Star Wars "Skywalker" movies are in this set on 4K UHD/Blu-ray/Blu-ray Special Features disc/Digital Copy for each movie.
That's 27 discs total, plus the special artwork/packaging.
The only movies that will NOT be in this set are ROGUE ONE and SOLO, which are Star Wars Story movies.

do the bonus disks also come on digital?
I don't believe so. All previous releases of these SW movies have never had the special features on the digital format included. I think only the movies will be digital coded.

how do I get the 3D version? That is the only way to watch star wars.
Good question, I have been a long time fan of SW since the very beginning in May, 1977. It seems Disney is reluctant to provide us with their 3D versions of the movies. I do not understand this. The only 3D set that I have is from STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS. That was a completely separate black sleeved set for purchase.
Hopefully, they will release it separately, but it does not appear it will be a part of this particular set.

It looks like Best Buy is including this in the box set for all 9 movies.

Just to be sure , it doesn't include Rouge One or Solo but does it contain The Rise of Skywalker ?
It will not include the STAR WARS STORY movies, "ROGUE ONE" and "SOLO".
These will only be the 9 Star Wars "Skywalker" movies, all on 4K UHD and Blu-ray, plus any special features that most likely are already out in previous releases on one Blu-ray for each movie. DVD format will not be included in this set.
