What a great 4K release of this 1997 horror classic!
Everything about it is upgraded. The 4K reallly looks good, and the Atmos 7.1 adds to it, certainly.
Definitely an improvement over the previous Blu-ray, so retire that.
Menus look good and it has a very nice slipcover with different artwork if you can find that version.
Special features appear intact here from previous releases.
Nothing brand new other than the complete upgraded package for the 4K era.
Jennifer and Sara look amazing in UHD.
Highly recommended!

A beautiful, colorful Halloween movie for October!
Another October favorite of mine for years and one of the best for 1988!
Special features are good as well.
I had to double dip on this one as I had the steelbook for it previously, had to get the 4K version to add to it.

Out of the first 3 movies in the THOR franchise on its own, this is the one. Seeing this on the 4K in HDR with a nice soundbar is really enjoyable. Thor has to come to terms with his own getting stuck on a planet that has junk from the galaxy. To his surprise, HULK is there, too, and they realize they have to work together to get off the planet,
it's mostly comedy mayhem and some battles along the way. This movie leads right into INFINITY WAR, which is a very serious movie and hardly any comedic relief.
All features are great, we get a nice slipcover, 4K UHD, HD Blu-ray, and digital copy.
We get introduced to Valkyrie as she escapes with THOR, and HULK away from Helena, THOR's evil sister who wants nothing but total power above all.
I would recommend this and watching it before INFINITY WAR.

I really like this Steelbook it’s pretty cool. Lionsgate knows how to make a great Steelbook and this one is pretty awesome. But the only dislike about this is that I didn’t have a chance to finish the movie. Like after hour and a half the sounds just cut off while I was watching the movie. For the 4K and the Blu-Ray. I was very disappointed and had to return it and sadly, they didn’t had any copy of the Steelbook and the regular 4K. Wish I could give this a better rating but couldn’t, I was let down.

Audiences were mesmerized in 1982 by Disney~s release of the film Tron, a groundbreaking fusion of live action and computer animation, setting the special effects stage for decades to come. Video game players were equally drawn to the Tron arcade cabinet, widely considered the most beautiful design ever. Arcade1Up is incredibly proud to produce the Tron home arcade cabinet, among the most requested by hardcore retrogamers. Awarded "Coin-Operated Game of the Year" by Electronic Games magazine, Tron was revered for its gameplay and gorgeous aesthetic. The Arcade1Up Tron home arcade cabinet stays true to what made the game such a draw in 1982, right down to its signature inner lit blue joystick. Also included is the marquee game~s sequel, Discs of Tron.

I spent a lot of time standing in front of one of these in the arcade back when they came out. And I haven't seen one since I enlisted in '85 so I had to get this just as a sop to my memories of happy times during childhood.
This isn't my first Arcade 1up cabinet, but it's by far the most expensive. I don't see the value here OTHER than for that nostalgia factor. There isn't anything here that warrants the price otherwise compared to some of the other games.
That being said, if you can get past the price point and want it, it definitely does bring back those days.
Assembly is pretty standard, although in this set the smallest piece, that is a small bit of wood material about 6 inches long that goes angled on the top above the screen to support the top cover, was much flimsier in here than in my last one. It split with the tiniest bit of snugging the screw down. It was still usable, and I was very careful with the second one, but keep that in mind.
Beyond that, I put it together myself and didn't have any issues with the build I do have a bit of dissapointment with the fitting of the graphic panel just under the joystick - it's not straight and so didn't line up well with the piece underneath it. I may have to pop the back and put some gorilla tape or something on it to keep it lined up better.
The other disappointment is with the joystick. Not anywhere near as good as the original. So light cycles, for example, it gets a lot of inputs that you aren't intending. And the ability to do those tiny little smallest jinks while driving the light cycle are nothing like what you could do with the original.
Sounds are spot on though, and the music is as well. So it's good for a stroll down memory lane even if it's not as good to play as it was. But for the price I expected better.

Thank you for your review! I have been watching this as well to see who would buy one and what it would be like. The price point is just too much, and now you say the controls are not as good, etc. Well, hopefully, there will be a mod available at some point to fix that joystick.

This movie of course was no where on par with the first two. It is worth watching as I think all of them are except for the one with Busta Rhymes in it. This is a classic so buy it and watch it. Too bad they dont make a monster Halloween box set.

Very cool artwork. The picture is way better than my Blu Ray Steelbook. It even has the German audio in 7.1. Arnies English voice is a Desaster..haha..anyhow, one negative part is, that the version does not contain the extended and just the theatrical version :(…

Well, this is the second time on 4K for these movies. I believe the first was a digibook style case. They are only rereleasing these to coincide with the newest Spider-Man movie that has all 3 of the guys in it. I'm sure if they sell enough of this set, they will undoubtedly put out a steel book version of it to make even more money. Slip covers, for the most part, are becoming hard to find now. The money is in the steel book casing.

The movies are entertaining however I am disappointed with the packaging. I do not like stacked discs and this set did not add anything extra. Not even a slip cover. I would recommend buying at a discounted price.

As a life long Star Trek fan I purchased this box set to go with my collection.
I would say that these are a good 4K transfer but not really much of an upgrade over the Blu-ray.

It is nice having a digital copies however these are on paramount and not able to be used on Movies anywhere.
No Dolby Atmos
The Motion Picture is currently being upgraded to the directors cut 4K with Dolby Atmos.. the others will probably soon follow.

I don't know which set up you are watching your discs on, but these most certainly DO have Dolby Atmos on them. They look better than ever now in 4K and am very happy to have them. A good 4K player combined with a good 4K TV with HDR is the best set up.

There are misleading images of this unit's screen size when showing Centipede. The game is a vertical game as it should be. However, there are photos of it being squashed or horizontal. Which is it?

Not sure, but I asked the Best Buy tech on duty and he sold me one similar to this one for my Galaxy 21 phone.

Most steelbook editions contain the DVD as well. Do any of these contain the DVD's? And none of the special features are listed. I am particularly interested if the 4k/blu-ray have extra features that the DVD's do not. Thanks for your quick reply. Cathy
No, there is no standard DVD in this one or the newest release with different artwork.

It did when it first came out on 4K. I don't think it can be found in the brick-and-mortar stores with one now in 2022, 5 years later.
