Had this unit for about a month now, have tried washing everything from small rugs to quilts to king size bedding to soiled pants from tree cutting to feminine delicates like pantyhose/tights and silks (put them in a mesh bag). I attached two USA-made water hammer arrestors (Sioux Chief brand from SupplyHouse SKU 660-H) to the hot/cold water intake valves to prevent heavy pressure on the water pipes when the water turns on. The only thing I don't like having come from an old school top loader to a front loader, is that the clothes get really twisted up on each other -- long sleeves & pant legs are twisted from the rolling motion of the drum and must be shaken out else they come through the dryer very wrinkled. Just some extra steps I wasn't used to, but the machine itself is fantastic. After use, be sure to use a clean dry rag to wipe out the inside of the rubber gaskets near the door seal, and keep clean/dry the softener/bleach tray. I leave open both the door and the tray to ensure the insides get fully dry after use to eliminate any risk for smells. The unit is very quiet, even on full speed spin cycle. Water use isn't really an issue with front loaders since the water gets sloshed around unlike the top loaders which can't soak all the clothes very well. All the different settings were a little overwhelming at first, just keep the quick-start guide nearby if you need to reference it. Overall I'm very pleased with the unit. Hopefully it will be a workhorse for many years.
