"They Won't Forget" ia a depression-era drama based on an actual murder case. Noteable dramatic acting by Clinton Rosemon, Claude Rains and Gloria Dickson. This is a 1937 production, so be prepared for a slightly over the top style of acting. That being said, anyone being falsely accused of anything that could cost you your life, could understand the hopelessness & fear that begins to prevail & drive emotions as this film progresses.

Mickey Rooney is good as a ‘simple guy’ who gets involved with the wrong girl. He "borrows" $20 from the company’s cash register for a date with the femme fatale (Jean Cagney) and ends up in a series of disasters that threaten to ruin his entire life! The movie is suspenseful but the ending was a little odd. Overall a great film noir. And Peter Lorre is always Perfect in every character he portrays.
