Don't be afraid to play with the settings. Out of the box, I wasn't all that impressed with this player compared to a standard blu ray player. Changing the settings on the player and the tv really made the picture sharper and the sound come to life.

Works for copying cds to my macbook air. Needs to be powered off of a usb strip that has it's own power supply because the macbook air usb ports don't put out enough power. It is rather slow to copy cds but works fine for playing them.
