Should have done my homework

I was attempting to save a few dollars by purchasing this stylus for my son's iPad. Although the stylus works perfectly with the iPad, it does not properly fit in the stylus band on the case. That resulted in my son having to place the stylus in his bookbag which is easily a bottomless abyss. Basically, the stylus us too wide for the stylus strap on the iPad.
