The Dark Knight is the most revered of the Dark Knight Trilogy, and for good reasons. From solid direction, excellent casting, acting, story, and presentation, nothing is wasted space. And one can’t talk about TDK without mentioning Heath Ledger’s stellar performance. This trilogy is absolutely one of the best super hero movies in both modern times and all time.

The Dark Knight trilogy is one of the greatest super hero movie series in modern time, perhaps even of all time. And while TDK and TDKR are often well remembered for their acting cast and great story, one must never forget that Batman Begins certainly does not fail in these respects. Slow at first, but gets better with each viewing

This show is quite close to my heart, as me and my friend both bonded over this series. The first arc is kinda slow, and filled with filler, but after the first 22 episodes, the story progresses quickly. Unfortunately for audiophiles, the Japanese recording is pretty rough, and the English dub only goes up to episode 36, but if you can look past those flaws, you can jump right into this series.

In another smash hit by Michael Mann, Collateral takes us on a tour of LA with Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx in a masterfully created and produced film. Surprisingly, most people who enjoy action movies akin to John Wick have never seen Tom Cruise act outside of his usual Mission: Impossible role. As with Heat (another Michael Mann film), the audio engineering is impeccable, and it seems Michael Mann is the only person in Hollywood to be able to capture the true sounds a weapon can make, and it sounds just as good as you'd expect.

The Matrix, 20 years after being released, remains one of the best home media audio mixes out there. Warner has taken their time and carefully avoided making the colors too green or blue as seen on previous Blu-Ray's and DVD's, and brought back most of the original audio engineers to remix this masterpiece in Dolby Atmos. The result is a must have 4K Blu-Ray, and the Steel Book steals the show with such great artwork alongside the movie itself.

A near and dear film to many, Die Hard has never received the Blu-Ray release it has deserved until now. 20th Century Fox has taken the liberty to re-scan the original film and present this old classic in 4K with HDR and a blistering 5.1 sound track.
