I first bought the model with the dash cam the 7in diesel and that one continually reset I called Garmin they had me do more updates still the same thing so that product I would not advise at all but this is basically the same model just to step down with no dash cam in this thing is absolutely fantastic works great has a lot of great features very durable definitely recommend I also did a lot of research with Rand McNally and I also had personal experience with TomTom and Garmin is the only way to go for the pros

I have the 7-inch diesel GPS for truckers and my GPS has a lot more plastic around the screen so it was not able to be fitting in there if you have a regular GPS I think it would probably fit right in there and it's a very nice product but for me it did not fit

I have a curved dashboard in my truck so it didn't really work very well but if you have a newer truck that has that anti-skid mat then it would be probably a good purchase one thing I can say about these mounts is the GPS will kind of vibrate a little bit as opposed to the windshield mount where it just stays very very still

Okay first off I love Garmin the construction of the CPS is great but it does have the dashcam and for some reason it would constantly restart I did all the updates i talked to Garmin I ended up buying from Best Buy the same model that did not have the dash cam which is about a $400 unit and I absolutely love it so go to do the step down to be absolutely happy do not get this product in my opinion

If you have a newer truck that has a anti skid pad and it works really good it will bounce around but it did actually stay in place on the dash it just kind of had some movement to it because it's not too too tight on there that's kind of why I didn't like it and I just went with the regular windshield mount for my GPS me I have an older truck that has a slanted Dash
