In this adaptation of the Suicide Squad, many things were okay but the problems can be fairly obvious when viewing this film. Even with its flaws, it's still an enjoyable movie, fan of the source material or not.

This is one movie I could say I was waiting for, a long time in fact. Seeing this movie made me smile from ear to ear by the mere appearance of Batman and Superman on the same screen. Ben Affleck is one of, if not, the best actor portrayal of the caped crusader, not only just by looking the part, but by bringing to life the best version of Frank Miller's Batman from The Dark Knight Returns.

The story may drag at times and the characters might become annoying but this film still outdoes the AVP films by a longshot. The effects are great and the Yautja have never looked better. Even though it has low points the movie is still entertaining to watch from start to finish.

There hasn't a been a good Halloween film in the franchise since the '78 original and its sequel. When I heard that they were going to "readjust" the timeline I was both scared and happy since the previous weren't that great so to ignore them would be good.
This movie has to be the best movie since the original, the music, still being the same only with minor updates and an added electric guitar makes this movie badass. The scares are minimal but effective, Michael Myers is ruthless and even though you only see half the kills, the crime scenes are still disturbing even though you don't see what happened and it's better that we don't as it adds to the horror.

Great Jason, Terrible plot

Seeing how this film was directed by Marcus Nispel (director of the 2003 Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake) I would expect that the movie would stay close to its original counterpart and update the plot accordingly to make it seem better. However, the plot is downright impossible to like since the characters are boring and paper cutouts of the basic victims but dumber than usual so the audience can understand and have an easier time digesting the story.
The only thing this flick has that makes it not be so terrible is Jason Voorhees himself. This has to be one of the best incarnations of the characters since Part 3.

Tron: Legacy is a good sequel, but much like the original, the story can be dragging at times. A definite plus on the movie is the action has been modernized and it's a visual spectacle.
The music in this movie is also a massive upgrade as Daft Punk take over the soundtrack with an array of awesome tunes which make the film a bit more passive.

Great movie, great sequel, and great price

This movie came out 13 years after the original and, like Halloween 2 (1981), it is a great sequel to an already awesome movie. It is, however, a shift in tone which makes the movie alot more viewable and fun along with the added gore factor.
This Blu-ray comes with tons of features like commentary, cast interviews, deleted/alternate scenes, and most excellent short documentary about how the movie was crafted
