4K review. An 80's classic that has never looked (GLOWED) or sounded this good. I had not watched this movie in many years. It is still a fun movie to watch. Julis Carry is great as SHO NUFF! Let's put this way not sure if this movie would be considered a cult classic without him. For those who have never seen this movie it is a mix of Karate Kid, Rocky and 80's MTV. It builds up to an epic fight scene that answers the question...who is the master? "Leroy, you warmed up yet?"

This review is not about the movie or transfer. What is going on with BESTBUY concerning the recent price hike on certain movies in 4K and Blu-ray??? Some of the recent prices I've seen are just ridiculous. I can go elsewhere and save money on the exact same movies. BESTBUY did price match this purchase of Dawn Of The Dead but it required a manager's approval thus adding more time to check out process. I have one word for BESTBUY...disappointed.

Quality issues concerning the bitrate that drops to the level of DVD. That is correct...DVD level...which means poor visual quality during parts of the film. This needs to be recalled and replaced by Shout Factory. Do not buy wait for the fix.

One of the worst 4k transfers ever. Disney has the means ($$$) to do much better. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl 4K is not an upgrade over the Blu-ray. The Blu-ray over all actually looks better. Such a shame Disney didn't do a better job for such a good movie. Save your money...don't buy.

How about a Director's Cut already!

This one is a classic!
The reason I'm only given it three stars is the lack of extra footage. I'd like to see all the deleted scenes put back in the film to make it an even greater film for all the fans out there. There is about 23 minutes of footage or more that never made it into the final cut. Example - The lighting contest scene! I want to see the extra footage on a 4K release as the tv networks show! How about a Director's Cut already! One would think the Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas 20th Anniversary Edition 4K (SteelBook) would be loaded with deleted and more deleted scenes. This just isn't a new gift but a regifted one.

I purchased the Blu-ray first by mail...no digital code. Then went through 2 more at my local BESTBUY in Aberdeen, NC. NO DIGITAL CODE found in any of the two. The Steelbook itself however is great. Looks to be a PROBLEM here that BESTBUY needs to address concerning this product.
