Your having interference issues.
It could be alot of metal near it or most likely to many internet used items near it like internet modem or playstation ECT.
I had that problem, all I did was move my internet modem and Blu ray player, i put the soundbar on a shelf on the stand by itself.l nothing next to it
No more issues.....

Does it have a connection for ipod
No, but if you can purchase the newer latest version better overall, you'll have more options of connections ECT but do your research. The newer version internet capatable is fully wireless way better sound when it comes to playing music & super loud.
