The left one has nothing wrong with the speaker, as I can hear clearly when the power is turned on or off, etc. However it will not play any audio, even after downloading the corresponding app. The right one does not seem very loud, even after turning the volume to the maximum setting. Even after trying some troubleshooting I am unsuccessful in having these function correctly and I wonder if they are defective.

I wanted these for the carbon monoxide alarm more than anything. They arrived very quickly and had great packaging. They were a breeze to set up and they seem to be made with quality materials. I love that they work with the nest app and communicate with each other. The only thing that I don't like is that they are a little pricey. I bought them on sale and used my rewards from previous purchases from best buy, so that made it way more reasonable. That being said, the only regret that I have is not purchasing them sooner. They are giving me peace of mind and that is worth everything.

Seriously, this machine is amazing. I can not believe that it is not the standard for every laundry room to have one. It is so convenient and functional that I can never go back to a washer without one. It was crazy seeing so many hoses hooked up with the entirety of the compatible steam dryer and washer/washer pedestal, but they all work well together. It was well worth the expense and has raised the bar for what I would consider to be a great laundry room set up. If you are on the fence about it, seriously just treat yourself because you deserve nice things. :)

This dryer is hands down the best dryer I've ever used in my life. The steam functions are everything. It has so many settings and they actually work as intended. I wanted a higher capacity washer that looked nice, had nice features, and performed well. This washer is amazing. It was super heavy and a pain in the @ to get it on the pedestal, it took so many hoses to get it hooked up with the washer pedestal and the matching steam gas dryer, but it was Soooooo worth it. The steam function is legit. I've never smelled laundry so fresh, and it does a phenomenal job at draining excess water. My old washer would have so much excess water left in bedding and towels, but it's night and day compared to this dream. It's super quiet and I love the LG Thinq app integration. They are not kidding when they state that this is a high efficiency machine because it uses so little water that I was skeptical about it's performance. The laundry comes out so clean that I'm almost in disbelief. I have always felt that doing laundry was a daunting task, but this machine is a breath of fresh air. I realize now that I have been living a lie before I knew this glorious machine existed.

is the C-Wire required for this?
Short answer:yes. All smart thermostats require a c-wire to some degree. There are ones that claim they do not require one (nest.)However they draw the power they require by essentially short cycling your furnace when it is not in use, which may or may not be an issue depending on your situation. There are ones that come with power extener kits (ecobee) that people seem to like. There is always that garbage trick of jumping wires and sacrificing your fan control, or paying someone $300 to run new wires. However there is always the reasonable solution of purchasing an adapter kit for like $25 and that will be the easiest, cheapest, and you don't sacrifice any functionality. So if you really want a specific thermostat don't let a 4 wire system hold you back.
