Exceeded my expectations

I purchased this movie knowing full well that because of how it was shot it was not up-scaleable to native 4K. None the less the addition of HDR and Dolby Atmos make this the best version of this movie. The HDR on this film is better than any of the six films made by Lucas. I would not pay the full $30 for it because you are not getting the resolution upgrade you get on the other films minus AOTC, However for the $20 I paid it was worth it. To be fair though I had lost my Blu Ray copy.

Very accurate telling of OIF multiple deployments

Really great movie although full disclosure I am an OIF vet, so that is definitely part of why I like it so much. Very accurate telling of the tole multiple deployments take. Blu Ray looked very good. Wish this movie was in 4K, but like I said the Blu Ray does look very good.

An improvement on the Blu Rays

Had all three on Blu Ray, and the Blu Rays are very good. To put it quite simply though the Dark Knight Trilogy on 4K is amazing. Visuals look better in 4K resolution, and colors look more lifelike in HDR. Sound also sounds better even if is not in Dolby Atmos.

Not anywhere as good as the other original trilogy

I have all 3 of the original trilogy movies, and this just quite simply is not in the same league as the other two. I am talking specifically about visually not the story line. It could be the way it was shot originally, and then not reedited to make lighting more subtle. On a low resolution TV like we had 20 years ago I remember the lighting not overwhelming the overall picture. Now on a 4KTV they probably needed to reedit, so it did overwhelm the picture. There are multiple scenes where bright overhead lights harm the quality of the scene. I did not ever notice on the Blu Rats either, but to be fair it has probably been 7 or 8 years since I watched the Blu Ray version.

Amazing war film in 4K

This purchase was well worth the money and then some! First of all the story is great. As a soldier who served in war myself I truly appreciate the lengths the director, storywriter, and actors went to in making this a very authentic telling of what war is like. Also this is shot in real 4K no digital intermediary, so it is visually as good as it gets. Add in Dolby Atmos sound and you a great recreation of a WW1 warzone!

Pretty Good Upgrade from Blu Ray

I was not as impressed with the picture improvement on this movies as other 4K films I have bought. The sound is seriously upgraded with Dolby Atmos, and the HDR does bring out far more colors especially in the Vietnam scenes. Well worth the money I my book.

The picture on this is absolutely amazing. The detail on all the actors is amazing. You can see how gritty of a shot film this really was with the amazing clarity of 4K. Additionally the Dolby Atmos sound is absolutely out of this world. Well worth a buy for this iconic movie. My only gripe is it does not include the Kyle Reese deleted scene on the extras Blu Ray disc.
