Probably the greatest family sci-fi movie of this century.
If you are a huge fan of 1980's family sci-fi movies like E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (1981) , Poltergeist (1982) , Goonies (1985) , Stand By Me (1986) , The Lost Boys (1987) , The Monster Squad (1987) or Harry And The Hendersons (1987) just to name a few simular classics than this movie is right up your alley.
If there is best films made from the 21st Century and if Super 8 doesn't make it on that list something is wrong with the world because this is as classic as it gets.

It's name Event Horizon. The high-tech, pioneering research spacecraft mysteriously vanished without a trace on it's maiden voyage seven years earlier. But a weak, persistent signal from the long-missing craft prompts a rescue team, headed by the intrepid Captain Miller (Laurence Fishburne), to wing it's way through the galaxy on a bold rescue mission. Accompanying Miller is his elite crew and the lost ship's designer (Sam Neill). What they uncover is unimaginable interstellar horror.

If you are a fan of 2001 A Space Odyssey (1968) , Silent Running (1972) , Alien (1979) and it's sequels , Outland (1981) or Sunshine (2001) than this film is a must own.
It is kind of a hybrid film of Alien (1979) meets Hellraiser (1987) and will satisfy the not only sci-fi fans with it's flawless visual effects , but the best horror fans as well with it's great make-up effects and gore.
This Scream Factory collectors edition blu-ray is a must own..!

Braveheart is a must own on whatever format suits you , but the best two that exist are this 4K Ultra Blu-Ray and the more affordable standard Blu-Ray.
The 4K Ultra is flawless and one of my favorite films that i own in my 4K Ultra collection.

I am not into horror movie remakes and no one can ever top the original Full Moon Production film from 1995 , but this remake / retake on that classic is not too bad and if it had another film name other than the original film i may consider it a great original.
It has simular plot and story from the original film but is it's own film all together and a must own for horror and monster movie fans.
I wouldn't show it to a child because of the sexual content , gore , scary images and story plotline but it actually has been one of my favorite horror films that i have seen on video lately.

For a smart sci-fi horror movie this ranks up with great titles from the past simular to it like Minority Report (2002) , Total Recall (1990) , Dark City (1997) , Under The Skin (2014) , The Skin I Live In (2011) , eXistenZ (1999) , The Matrix (1999) , Species (1995) Surrogates (209) , Splice (2009) , and Elizabeth Harvest (2018) and if you are a fan of those films it is a must watch.
