FFVII: Advent Children Complete, which simply is the Director’s Cut, is a significantly better film than Advent Children. I cannot really recommend the plain ol’ Advent Children but I wholeheartedly recommend Advent Children Complete. The numerous extra scenes and reworked dialogue works great and causes what was kinda a mess of a movie to be a pretty great movie that makes sense.
With every passing year the computer visuals will look more and more dated, but in 2020 they still look pretty darn good.
This isn’t anything that a non-fan would enjoy as you won’t understand anything about the movie if you’ve not played Final Fantasy VII (but, I mean... who hasn’t played that game at least once over the past 20ish years? I still play through it once a year), but a FFVII fan will greatly enjoy FFVII:ACC.
Just make sure that you order this Complete version and not the original Advent Children.
