I think mgm did a good transfer, but I think it could be better. Don’t get me wrong this is the best rocky has every looked, but since this movie is on the list of 100 greatest movies and highly influential I think mgm could have done better. The sound was pretty good. Hopefully soon a 4k version will come out and mgm does a excellent transfer. As for the movie. If you haven’t seen rocky, well you probably should see it. Very inspirational film about the underdog. Pretty much the truth about the Philadelphia sports teams and captures the feel for the people of the city.

I grew up watching these on tv. I am glad I can finally watch them with better picture quality and commercial free. I love the animation in them, times have definitely changed. These are classics and so much time was placed into the making of these. You should give them a watch.

The details of this transfer are good. Way better than dvd. The sound is very good to. It sounded very good on home theater. If you like musicals this is a very good musical. If you don’t like musicals I highly suggest you watch this movie. It is very good.

This biggest problem I have with this transfer is the picture. It was not cleaned up the best. There are a lot of imperfections in the film. White spots litter the picture. I have not seen the shout transfer, but they do good work without restorations. If you like the second film a lot you may want to put the extra money into the recent transfer.

I have not seen the 4k transfer, but this one is very good. The images have been cleaned up very well. If you have the dvd you need to upgrade to the blu. Details are very good, and black levels are very good to. This is one of those movies that revolutionized horror movies. Definitely very influential in cinema and pop culture.

Considering the age of the film this is the best it has looked. The details have been made a little clearer. Sounds could use a improvement to. I give this movie a 5 stars but the transfer could be better. Hopefully soon a 4k version will come out.
