Looks nice but poorly made

Not much good I can say about this microwave. The buttons are not very touch sensitive - you have to really press on them to get them to register. The light is just one setting and not very bright. The auto defrost cycle actually started cooking the food rather than just defrosting. I am not happy with this product of all the LG appliances we purchased.

Good washer - especially the turbo wash setting

This washing machine can get clothes clean quickly if you want, and the spin cycle really gets the water out of the clothes. They are practically dry when the cycle is done. One drawback is that the drum is tilted downward, so the clothes are all stuck in the back of the machine, making it a little harder to get them out if you don't have a pedestal to raise it up. No WiFi connection. It does something with Android phones, but not iPhones like we have. Oh, well. I guess you can't have everything.

Smart diagnostics made the difference

This dryer does not have a WiFi connection, but it does have Smart Diagnostics that works with the iPhone (other connectivity features only work with Android - not so good). The dryer indicated that the vent was clogged - so we had it cleaned out and the clothes dry much more quickly now! That was a plus. It has a lot of cycle options too - we are still trying to figure out which one is best.

Are all dishwashers so hard to load effectively?

Either our dishes are all weird sizes or every dishwasher is designed poorly to get your dishes truly clean. This one is no exception. Overall, it does a good job, but we have to run loads more often because it fills up so quickly. Pros - the interior lights are a nice feature and so is the countdown timer to let you know how long the cycle will run. The grid over the utensil rack covers the entire thing - it would be nice if it had one compartment that was open for things that don't fit through the slots.

Other induction cooktops are better

We had a KitchenAid induction cooktop in our previous house but decided to go with LG this time. The "burners" are arranged strangely, and the largest burner doesn't work with our cookware because it only works with a very large pan. I would not buy this range again.

Spacious fridge

This refrigerator is the biggest I've ever owned. It's clean and easy to get to stuff even when it's hidden in the back. The see-through door is cool but unnecessary, and the craft ice (big balls of ice that are great in cocktails) took a while to make but are really cool. The only drawback is that the refrigerator shelves are not very adjustable like our old Kitchenaid fridge. But the spaciousness makes up for that one issue.
