Great Product, Horrible App

Now that I have these bulbs set up and my scenes set, they work wonderfully. Thread makes them super quick to respond. It took days, however, of fiddling with the Nanoleaf app to get my set up just the way I wanted. The app is terrible and buggy. I use the Eve for HomeKit app, the native Home app, or my voice with the HomePod to control these lights; I only open the Nanoleaf app when I absolutely need to, which is rarely the case now that I have all the scenes I require set up.

Works For Me, After An Initial Struggle

A solid light strip. The Thread network is quick and seamless, the scenes are very cool (with the Nanoleaf bulbs especially). The app is a nightmare to figure out, but once you mess with it a while, if your tech savvy enough you can get things set up to work just how you need. Once I had all the scenes I wanted to create (or download) in the Nanoleaf app, I began to use the Eve for HomeKit app in it’s place, or the native Home app. This saves me having to delete the random scenes that the Nanoleaf app insists on creating or altering when I open it.
The light strip itself is not as heavy duty as say, the kasa light strip I had before. And while the white light is almost blinding, the colored lights are rather dim.
In summary, I’d say I’m pleased with this light strip now, though I was very frustrated when setting it up with Nanoleaf’s terrible app.
