Just as it begins to appear as if Batman, Lt. James Gordon (Gary Oldman), and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) are making headway in their tireless battle against the criminal element, a maniacal, wisecracking fiend plunges the streets of Gotham City into complete chaos.

Christopher Nolan's masterpiece The Dark Knight comes to 4K with an image sourced from a new 4K scan that has been color-corrected and HDR graded under the director's supervision. Details, saturation and shadow definition all get a boost and the IMAX footage is still breathtaking. The lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, while not Dolby Atmos, is quite superb. Comes with blu-ray disc and digital code. This is, hands down, the best comic book adaption ever filmed.

Christopher Nolan's first part of his Dark Knight trilogy comes to UHD from a 4K HDR master and transferred based on Nolan's instructions. The details and contrast get a nice boost and while a Dolby Atmos soundtrack would've been nice, the remastered lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack is very good. Comes with blu-ray disc and digital code. A must have for any Batman fan.

The 4K disc is a slight upgrade over the near reference level quality of the 2K blu-ray, which is included as well as digital code. Saturation and details get a boost and while a new Dolby Atmos mix would be most welcomed, the repurposed DTS-HD Master Audio mix is really superb. Get it while it is on sale..

Tenet looks great and sounds great, although the criticisms about the dialogue levels are spot on (I had to turn on the subtitles right away during first action set piece). This movie is narratively dense and story doesn't come into full view until about halfway through. It did not surprise me that a physicist was on set as an advisor. But give Tenet a chance. I think, similar to Christopher Nolan's other films, this movie will get better each time I rewatch it. Reference level 4K UHD presentation.

I would know since I've purchased this movie in VHS, DVD, LaserDisc and Blu-ray. This is THE classic horror sc-fi film. Comes with 1080p blu-ray disc and digital code with two versions of the movie, the 1979 theatrical cut and Scott's 2003 extended director's cut.

1987's Predator finally gets an an upgrade over the previous MPEG codec blu-ray releases in 2008 and 2010. This releases get a new 4K scan that restores some film grain and looks excellent. Comes with a re-release of the 2010 blu-ray as well as digital code. The 33-year old film never looked this good outside of a movie theater.
