Movies: Can't get much more classic than the first 3 Pokemon films. If you grew up with them like me, then this is just a TON of nostalgia packed into one box. While they might not be the most amazing movies ever, they definitely hold some special places for people (myself included) rewatching was no chore and just took me back to that 99-early 00s run of these movies in the theater.
Disc: And here's where the stars start falling. These movies, for BR, look awful. I'd hazard to even say that each looks worse than the last. I still have 2000 and 3 kicking around from my childhood on DVD and these are on-par if not worse looking/sounding. All of them are on one disc so I imagine that not only are these just the DVD versions put on a BR disc and compressed into oblivion.
The films have no special features (or at least severely limited ones iirc) and are just the movies. The Pikachu shorts are nowhere to be seen. I have no idea if there's true HD versions of these anywhere with the special features of the DVDs, but If not I guess this is your best bet unfortunately.

When someone asks if you want the BR say "eh sure"

Movie: It's Ghostbusters. If you need a review of this classic by now, might want to stream it somewhere before blind buying. It's still funny with minimal poor aging to the humor, all while actually feeling like there's weight to the conflict.
Disc: Here's where this might get spicy. It doesn't really look super amazing. I remember seeing this movie on tv all the time and watching the DVD growing up. The difference between the DVD and the TV was huge at the time! The DVD and this? Eh. It looks good sure, but it looks like it's more an upscale at some points than a truly new scan. The Steelbook art is too good to pass up for the slip cover 4k, but I wouldn't be shocked if the 4k version looks leagues better.
Seelbook: So this is just so nice. The pictures online don't do it enough justice. The combo of matte finish and gloss for the ghost just make the ghost pop that much more. The artwork itself is great to see and I wish I had a poster of it sometimes.

Movie: This movie is the epitome of Rule 32: Enjoy the Little Things to me. It's comedy still holds up after all these years. For a movie that I recall being wildly popular on release, it feels like an incredibly small story with a simple plot. Comedy roadtrip...through the zombie apocalypse. It's got heart, camp, and humor along with those E P I C (to quote 2009) zombie kill shots throughout.
Disc: This BR looks really good. Sometimes I'm hesitant watching them on a 4K tv as not every BR is a new scan, but this one had care put into it and holds up. Not sure what more you'd get out of the 4k version, but combined with this art, the BR here is a no brainer.
Steelbook: I mean...just look at it. Find one thing not to like and BB should give you like 1000 points or something. The matte finish, the popping colors, and the level of detail just knock this art out of the park for me.

Movie: This thing is a masterpiece. Seen it multiple times now and every time it's just more and more spectacular. From the cinematography, to the music, to the performances. It just hits every note perfectly.
Disc: Looks fantastic on 4k without a doubt. I did notice a weirdness with the HDR, but that's not limited to this film and I believe is my TV. The audio is top notch as well. This stands as a great example of why physical media blows streaming away.
Steelbook: I admittedly slept on this one when it first made it's rounds mostly out of a desire to get it and the inevitable sequel as a set. When it came back, the artwork won me over. It's just solid. Not to mention it blows the poster away.

The movie itself is a solid classic. The slow-burn from innocent Spielberg family movie to nightmarish battle against lost souls for the life of a child is done to perfection. The 4k version itself looks fantastic as the HDR and color grading overall provide a deeper impact to some of the more iconic scenes such as the famous "They're here" scene and the finale with the ghost monsters at the bedroom.
Unfortunately, while the steelbook itself looks great (love the matte finish), the copy I purchased ended up being damaged. I still have it as Best Buy Online said no stores had a copy anymore and this was the last one when we grabbed it at a BB near us. Knocked off a star for the lacking quality control. Didn't think they'd put a broken product on the shelf
