This Best Buy Exclusive 4K Steelbook for ROCKY (1976) is really good looking! Especially on the back of the steelbook with that Famously Iconic shot of Rocky standing on the top of the steps is just beautiful! Now, getting into the 4K transfer itself, the picture quality does look really good. While, yes, there is a lot of grain throughout the movie, at least the colors do look really nice and pop pretty well with what they had to work with in terms of the source. Also, the 5.1 Remaster Audio Track is also done very well, but for me, i felt like there were some moments in certain spots where one moment the audio sounds well, and in some others it does drop a little while. Overall, I do recommend picking up the ROCKY (1976) 4K Steelbook! Even though we are only getting ROCKY's 1-4 on the 4K disc treatment right now & not all 6 films (for now), it is still worth mentioning & paying the $30 per Steelbook. I still give this a 5/5 rating.
Interstellar opens on Earth in the distant future, as Mother Nature is waging war on humanity. Famine is widespread, and all of mankind's resources are now dedicated to farming in a desperate fight for survival. A former NASA pilot and engineer named Cooper (Matthew McConaughey) has become a homesteader in order to support his teenage son Tom (Timothee Chalamet) and 10-year-old daughter Murph (Mackenzie Foy). Unfortunately, even that begins to look like a futile endeavor after a sandstorm ravages their close-knit community. Meanwhile, a seemingly supernatural mystery begins to unfold when the InchghostInch that dwells in Murph's room sends her a mysterious set of coordinates - which lead the curious father/daughter duo to a clandestine underground base housing the remnants of NASA. There, renowned physicist Professor Brand (Michael Caine) has been working with a team of astronauts and scientists to find a new planet capable of sustaining human life. Brand quickly persuades Cooper to pilot a mission that will hopefully carry the seeds of human life to a habitable planet in another galaxy. Cooper is soon bound for space with Brand's daughter Amelia (Anne Hathaway) and researchers Doyle (Wes Bentley) and Romilly (David Gyasi).

By the time I'm writing this, it would be 2 days after I watched the movie & its 4K disc for the very first time. Now, let me start off by saying: I LOVE Christopher Nolan's movies!
No, really, I seriously mean it! I have been a big fan of him since I was 6 years old & watched "Batman Begins" (2005) for the very first time on DVD. Since then, years later when I was 13, I figured it be best to get into the sequels, "The Dark Knight" (2008) & "The Dark Knight Rises" (2012). After watching both films, I thought they were really great! Well, "The Dark Knight" was the best in the trilogy. But for "The Dark Knight Rises", I thought it was really good, but not as great as the first 2 films in the trilogy, but still an acceptable sequel to conclude the storyline of Christian Bale's iconic performance as Batman.
Later at 17, I watched "Dunkirk" (2017) and I think it was another good film with great sound effects & all. But, later on after all these years, I'd think it be best to go for a rewatch since I only saw it once.
Cut to early 2021, the 4K Blu-Ray of "Tenet" (2020) comes out, and I ended up liking the film actually. You have a really good cast with John David Washington & Robert Pattison (before we see him becoming Matt Reeves' "The Batman" (2022)) and all I can honestly say is that both actors were great in their roles, along with the concept idea of using time as the plot of the film.
Now, cut to January 7, 2023, I watched "Interstellar" (2014) for the very first time and... I just LOVED this movie! Everything about this film is great! The acting, the set pieces, the cinematography, the original musical score provided by noneother than the LEGENDARY Hans Zimmer (Yes, I've been a big fan his film scores since Disney's The Lion King (1994)), and the biggest praise of it all... the visual effects! My goodness gracious, the visual effects in this film are beautifully well-made. I'm very glad this film won the Oscar for Best Visual Effects back in 2015.
Now, to answer the GIANT elephant in the room, is the 4K worth it? Yes. It is definently worth the money. Especially if you're a massive fan of Christopher Nolan, then this movie is worth adding to your movie collection. I give it 5/5 for the picture quality, and a 5/5 for the sound quality.

I bought this 128GB Micro SD Card for my old Samsung Galaxy S5, and it works GREAT! I have had not a single complaint with this SD Card. Best part, I remember buying it for a really GREAT Price! Like around $20-$24. My old SD Card was 64GB, which was okay, but not as great as this 128GB SD Card. If I were to recommend this SD Card, BUT IT when it's on SALE! Trust me, you'll have a great time with it!

Okay, if you are someone who loves "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" like myself, then DO NOT buy this movie on 4K! Keep your Blu-ray or DVD copies! Yes, the movie itself is great, and the packaging for this copy looks great, but the transfer on the 4K disc is AWFUL! The grain is removed, and they placed this dark gray-ish tint throughout the entire film in the 4K which makes all of the daytime scenes look like the film takes place all throughout the evening. And worst of all, you know how in the previous blu-ray had the 2-discs: One for the film with minor bonus material and the Second with all of the bonus material that lasts up to 2-3 hours of content, yeah, you will NOT get that disc 2 in this release, but you do get the same blu-ray disc, which has the movie, from that same 2-disc blu-ray set, and it says "Disc 1" labeled on it. But, you do NOT get "Disc 2", that is RIDICULUS! Then again, it's Disney, and they stopped putting in the effort into their movies when made on 4K as of recent years with catalog titles. But with newer titles, they'll make it look good for you. Overall, I give this 4K release as of whole a 2/5. Like I said, if you have your previous Blu-ray or DVD copies of this film, KEEP THEM! When you have your film on a standard Blu-ray disc and put it in a 4K player that can convert your Blu-rays to 4K with a 4K tv, DO IT! It makes the film look BETTER! Trust me, you will not regret it! The movie itself, I give it a solid 5/5. Common Disney, you can, you should, and you must DO BETTER!

I love this movie! A childhood classic! Got it on a GREAT sale, "20% off for 2 or more Movies & Shows", got it a long with a 4K copy of Man of Steel (2013), and both came great! The best part about getting this Cinematic Masterpiece was having to receive it with a Slipcover & came with the 80 Years sticker on the Slipcover. In terms of the 4K transfer, if you like grain in classic movies, this film definitely has it. But, that is okay, because this movie looks great with the grain. Also, there is some mild bonus material on the Blu-Ray, but that's okay, I guess. Overall, still a 5/5 for me with the film especially. If you do not have this movie in your 4K collection, then YES, it's worth having!

The artwork on this new steelbook for Damien Chazelle's 2016 La La Land is BEAUTIFUL! From front to back, this steelbook is a definite MUST HAVE for your steelbook collection. The transfers on the 4K & Blu-Ray discs as far as I know both look really great, and are the same from the original releases as far as i'm conserned. But, really, seriously, grab this new 4K steelbook for La La Land, it's worth having. Also, this movie should've won Best Picture at the Oscars in my personal opinion.

Dune (2021) is a really, really great movie! Honestly, one of the best Sci-Fi adaptations currently, and really hope the next 2 films carry the series forward into a bright, bright future with director Denis Villeneuve in the helm. Overall, the picture quality, the audio, cinematography, casting, acting, editing, and the storytelling are all highly fantastic! Highly recommend the pick-up for this movie in particular. You will NOT regret it!
In this epic adventure of hope and empowerment, a cyborg, Alita (Rosa Salazar), searches for clues from her past when she awakens in a future world she does not recognize.

The first time I watched this movie was the day when I bought my copy on 4K/Blu-Ray 3D/Blu-Ray, and it was AMAZING! I heard that Alita was a really great movie, but I didn't know how EPIC this film would be. I hope that Robert Rodriguez and James Cameron do make a sequel at some point. Well, maybe after James Cameron finishes making the Avatar sequels, and hope that Alita will be a trilogy. But, overall, this movie was actually really, really good as I heard a lot of people say it is. Has a great female protagonist who goes through the classic Hero's Journey like any main protagonist Should go through. Work hard, Practice, and learn from what experiences that the character or their mentor(s) must've had on or have thought them since before or during when their journey first began. Like the saying always goes, "practice makes perfect". And that's what Alita went through in this film, she practiced, learned, and put in the effort in working hard to achieve a goal. Rather than a Mary Sue/Gary Stu, where they are just handed everything to them without putting any effort into anything, and never having to grow as a person, which is not good character building. And that's why Alita: Battle Angel, is a must-see movie. 5/5 Stars for the film, and everything it has to offer.

The original 1984 Ghostbusters film is a great Horror-Comedy movie. They creatives behind it make the film look really horrifying, but they make the characters in the story really funny, especially Bill Murray's Peter Venkman and Rick Moranis' Louis Tully! They're both really, but in their own unique ways. I found this at my local Best Buy store exactly on the Friday before Ghostbusters: Afterlife came out, and it was the only copy at my store. It was worth the pick up. Now all I need to do, is to look for Ghostbusters 2 (1989) and wait for Ghostbusters 3: Afterlife on 4K to complete the trilogy. Yes, I said trilogy. Because 2016 Ghostbusters was a really crappy reboot of a movie. As for the OG Ghostbusters, I give it a 5/5 Stars, for the matching style artwork for the case that it has with Ghostbusters 2 4K and for the movie. Also, I was really happy that this movie didn't come with a digital code, not the fan of those darn things to be honest. Besides, you don't know how much of scam those darn things could be anyways.

The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard 4K Steelbook Review!

Verified Purchase:Yes
The Steelbook for this movie, along with its predecessor both look freaking phenomenally gorgeous. Great artwork with great packaging. The movie itself... well, there are some problems I have with this film. The main thing being is that the writers & and the director (for some odd reason) didn't consider bringing back Elodie Yung to reprise the role of her character from the first film for this movie, and instead brought Frank Grillo. Nothing wrong with Frank Grillo, I thought he did a pretty good job in this film. But, like I said, I still thought that it would've been great to bring back Elodie Yung, to have her & Ryan's characters continue their story & their relationship, and they completely skipped that in this film. Overall, it's still a great film, but not as great as the first one in my opinion. 4.5/5 Stars for the movie, but will still give a 5/5 Stars for the packaging for the Steelbook itself.
