I'll be honest...I don't know squat about routers. This was recommended by the sales clerk and it seems to work great. I've had several people (like cable techs) who also tell me this is the only way to go. So I'm happy. Not to mention the installation was all free with the total tech program. You just can't beat that.

I've always wanted an alarm system and this was a free installation with the tech support program. It's awesome! You can pay extra to have it monitored or pay a small amount to preserve video. I highly recommend the video (at a minimum) as you won't be able to see who was around unless you see the video live.
The 24/7 monitoring is optional. If you don't get it you still have all the features of the system without someone automatically calling the police/fire if it goes off. The alarm will still go off and the intruder will have no idea if it's monitored or not. It's an added security feature that isn't very expensive.
This is a great system. I live in a very safe neighborhood, but nonetheless, I sleep much better at night with this installed.
