It is Star Wars on 4K UHD.....what else do you care to know? Of course the original trilogy shot on film cannot be same quality as modern imaging and modern magic stuff but is still the best version of the films have ever bought.

3.5 to 4 stars. This unit replaces a Vizio unit I had for about 8 or 9 years. The Vizio began go on the fritz a bit turning itself on and off again randomly with no reason. This past Saturday it finally had a fit and kept going on and off and on and off repeatedly. Not sure what is up with that but my patience level was done so I ordered this LG unit.
First off, the packaging….my word, someone from NASA must have engineered the packaging. Definitely not getting damaged in shipping even if shipped it to Mars. The look and feel of the soundbar and the surround components is nice, has a high-end attractive look. Matte black but not finger-printy. The rear part of the system obviously will not see very much but the soundbar itself looks great.
Set-up was super easy. The subwoofer and surround units paired right up with the soundbar and ready to go right out the box. Super surprised at the ease of initial set-up and honestly does a fine job straight out the box. Of course I wanted to mess with every little setting. Easiest way to do so is get the LG Soundbar App and connect to the unit via bluetooth on your phone. From the app can adjust settings and even volume for the individual speakers. That being said, the adjustments are somewhat basic but adequate. The app is okay, because have to connect via bluetooth you cannot change settings from the app on the fly while playing sound. But, you can adjust settings with the remote and the LCD display while sound is playing — note, there is no instructions on how to do any of this, have to poke around and figure it out yourself.
Currently have the rear speakers on a table across the room. Distance between the soundbar / TV and the rear set-up is maybe 20 feet. My couch is about 8 feet from the TV. Am thinking will mount the two rear speakers a bit higher on the wall see if that makes a difference in the overall sound. And, the overall sound is generally great. My only complaint is the Bass, or where the Bass at?
Compared to the older Vizio unit this has replaced….the Vizio had a Great amount of Bass to annoy the neighbors with but lacked the dimensional surround and lacked full spectrum Dolby stuff (I am not very technical with DTS jargon). Yes, it was a surround system but even straight out the box this LG unit has that overhead element of surround with the two up-firing speakers which is pretty cool. Now if I could attach the Vizio subwoofer to the LG system somehow….. :-)
The Bass output I would say is on the low adequate to upper ‘Meh’ range. If you want a floor shaking subwoofer, look for a different product. My neighbors will be happy this unit has less bass than my previous unit—haha. It does the job without being too much. I watched the beach battle scene from Rouge One this afternoon and while I was not blown away, the output was fine. That being said, if you are an audiophile — nope, this unit is not gonna cut it. However, as a general use soundbar with very good surround this is a great unit at a great price. Will this remain as my main living room system? Most definitely not, but…currently I live in an apartment setting so this fits my current needs and does a solid job. Great for apartment living, would be an excellent choice for a rec-room or video game room for the kids in your house as the Bass clearly will not be a problem.

This thing is Stupid--ly Awesome. The trick with the M2 Airs is buy the 512ssd, the 8GB memory is fine...for my use case. Has been noted the smaller ssd can't keep up so keep that in mind. Love this thing. I occasionally do on-site photog work and oh my word this little laptop is a beast. My main computer is a Mac Studio so this laptop is basically a mobile solution for me. Does everything need it to do and I have never been able to overload the thing. Now, certain processes are a bit slower--I would not use this in place of a Pro level laptop for editing but general use and occasionally heavy use on-ste with a client....this is great.
Introducing Mac Studio. A remarkably compact powerhouse that fits right on your desk with advanced connectivity for your studio setup. Choose the ferociously fast M1 Max~the most powerful chip ever created for a computer.

Stellar. Upgraded to the M1 Max Studio from a 2017, 27" iNtel iMac. Are you kidding me? The advancements of Apple silicon are just ridiculous. I am a freelance creative who does a lot of photo editing--tasks that might take 6 to 8 minutes processing time on iNtel, about 6 seconds on Apple Silicon. There is just no comparison. Do you need the latest and greatest M-whatever version has just come out? Probably not, however, if are still on an iNtel MAC, you gotta make the jump to the new M chips. You won't regret it. Been about a year since purchase and I have yet to slow this thing down let alone crash---was a daily occurrence with the intel iMac. Is well worth the upgrade. Keep in mind, do NOT upgrade the internal storage, get a SSD can connect via USB--the Apple price on internal storage is just plain stupid. I keep only my apps on the Mac hard drive, all my documents and content are on a SSD. No reason to pay Apple even more money!!
