The first "approved" bestbuy installer did not really want to install and so he kept on coming up with excuses as to why he couldn't.

This gas line is required for successful hook-up of your new dryer in your home. Our delivery personnel will determine what type of gas line is needed based on your local housing code.

This was a rip-off. My old dryer valve was perfectly good but the installer said that they could not use it. $100 plumber later he said it was perfectly good but I installed a different one.
Bottom line was that the first BestBuy installer just did not want to install. He wanted to dump and run not install and he had a work book of excuses.

They make you use this hookup. I had an all aluminum vent designed to avoid lint clogs but they "had to" install the cheaper part.
