I've had this unit for less than 30 days (so keep that in mind). I like it a lot, I wish it had light to show inside the washer when working (like all little boys, age notwithstanding :-)), I like to see it working. I has many settings to make it like you want/need. I wish it were a bit less expensive :-)) (may be $100 less). I have not used its maximum capacity yet (and by purpose, I got a unit larger than I would usually need, that way it will last longer, so is my thinking). It looks nice and does not take as much space as I thought when I did the measurement, its lid opens quite a bit in front of the control panel which means if you have cabinet above it (as I do) which are not as off the ground as to clear the total height w/ the lid open, you are still OK because the lid opens in front of the wall mounted cabinet and will not hit it. I got a white unit to match my existing dryer and the space the unit went into, and all looks good. It is a quiet unit. I has multiple setting for water temp, spin, number of reins, load size/type, it has softener, detergent, and bleach container, it has delayed start, and smart phone connectivity, and internal faucet which I really like because where is is located, there is no wall sink near by. All and all, I like it and very happy about my choice (let's talk in 5 years and see what I think :-)).

Is there a tutorial or instruction manual for this model?
yes there is paper user manual (which is not that big, but enough to get you going) that comes with unit (you can also search YouTube for tone of reviews of similar units and you will have no issue figure things out between the user's manual and YouTube stuff; I have not set up the smart phone connectivity, but there might be some stuff there too)

Does the door on this top load washer prop up on its own or do I need a stick to keep it open?
you have to open it; it does not prop open by itself when the wash is done (it does have a lock when the machine is in use to be safe for a child not to open it and to fall into it; also, it has an end of cycle chime which I like its sound, but reading the reviews some did not like it; there seems to be a way to turn it off, I have not looked for it, because I like the chime and the notice that the wash is done, since it is a quiet unit and if one is far or the washing room door is closed, one might not hear it coming to a stop)

Do these Samsung top load washers rust like the older versions?
I cannot comment since I have only owned it for about 30-days now, however, water and metal are not a good combination (you can see naval military ships rust too, with all the care they get and the quality of material used), so, I suggest to always leave the lid open when not in use to let water left in cracks and crevices to evaporate (unless you have a pet which may jump into it, in that case, train your pet not to do it :-))

Does the door hold open on its own? My current samsung has the flaw where the door wont stay open.
