This is a very strange appliance from the moment it was received. Please note the prior washer I had was an Amana and it lasted me 30 years. That is the reason why I bought another Amana.
When the delivery was made, I began using the washer a few days later but the central roll where the fabric softener is inserted began making a big hard pounding. It washed the clothes fine.
I contacted Geek Squad and they suggested I get a brand new replacement. On the second delivery, the folks from the Logistics company arrived 1 1/2 hours late. They installed the new one but when I asked them to stay and see if the machine worked, they indicated it was not possible as the cycle is lengthy, etc. Apparently, they have delivery goals in that it is more important to deliver an item, irrespective of whether it functions or not. I was hoping they would stay given it was a replacement but they did not. I was very disappointed.
I had asked the Geek Squad to send one of their technicians instead of the folks from the third party logistics company, but they did not do that. They sent the delivery team from the logistics company and called him "technician." This is an improper name for the person, since all they are responsible for is deliver and install but not check if there is a problem, mainly because they are not
qualified to identify any issues with the functioning of the machine.

Once I used the new, second machine, this time there was no noise in the central roll but, during the Wash Cycle, the machine was doing a constant crank noise as if it wanted to start but I was not sure if it was washing. I did not hear the normal noise of the clothes, water and detergent mixing together. Just the constant crank noise. It continued through the various cycles but it was white clothes and I could not see it had cleaned it well.
I called Geek Squad again and they sent a third team from the Logistics TO EXCLUSIVELY CHECK ON THE WASHER AND THE NOISE. The person came, again in a hurry, started the machine and heard the noise. He said I need to let the machine run its course. He stayed only about 10 minutes and left. The machine finished the entire cycle and the closed appeared clean.
So right now, I am in the middle of crossing a bridge and cannot go forward nor backward. Geek Squad will not send a techinician and the Logistics company only sends their driver and installer.
I will try to see if there is a different alternative where a qualified person can come, spend the necessary time in determining why the machine is doing that crank noise during the middle of the Wash Cycle. If they cannot I will
consider returning the washer and getting a credit back.

This dryer cord is required for successful hook-up of your new appliance. Our delivery personnel will determine whether a 3- or 4-prong cord is needed based on the outlet behind your existing dryer.

The only comment I have is that when the time is over, the appliance does not beep 1 minute later, every minute to
remind the person that there is something left in the oven.
It finishes the heatting and does ring for 5 times to alert the
job is done. But, again, if the person is away in another room, she can forget and if the appliance would beep every minute until the item is removed, it will be a great convenience.
