I've always heard great things about Bose speakers and own their small portable speaker. It produces exceptional sound for such a small speaker. So when I was looking for a portable sound system to complement a new Valerion 4K lifestyle projector I recently purchased, I decided to look at soundbars.
After reading many reviews, I compared the Sonos soundbar, and the Bose soundbar. The Doby Atmos sold me along with my past experience with Bose. I can say the sound on this is beyond my expectations. It has a full sound that fills my Family Room and that's on a low setting.
I paired this with Bose wireless surround speakers so that watching movies on the big screen is truly an immersive experience.
If you want a great surround system to fill your room and transport you into the movies this is a very worthy investment that won't break the bank, and gives you great sound.
Setup and pairing with the other speakers was easy and everything can run and be controlled directly from your i-phone. All you do is just download the app.

I grabbed this upon reading a number of good reviews and since it was on sale for $10. I also love superhero movies and TV shows, the Batman universe, and count the Christopher Nolan films among my favorite movies of all time.
I just couldn't get into Batwoman the way I liked other shows like Gotham. It's not that it's bad, I just think it's trying to be something it's not. I was pulled in by Kate Kane's (our hero/anti-hero) backstory and saw great potential with the material. Gotham, in my opinion, did this very well, and was clever in the was we found things out about the characters. Not so here.
However, just as I struggled to get through the episodes (and I did watch the entire season, plus cross-over disc), the actors seemed to be doing the same. I also found myself aware of what felt like cheap production values. Her suit has a cool design to it, but things seemed to stop there. She rides an unimpressive batcycle. It's clear we're in Chicago, not Gotham. There's no real sense of danger or a city in decay, fighting for it's soul. The Bat cave was down-sized to a studio apartment, compared to what they spent on the Crows headquarters. And the Bat-logo becoming a spinning object/weapon was just plain annoying.
I like Ruby Rose (I haven't seen her in enough movies to truly judge her acting), but she seems to struggle with the material she's been given. The acting and dialogue seems forced. Maybe that's why she's not returning for season two.
By comparison, I also purchased Titans season one. I was immediately pulled in just at the first episode. It is darker and more graphicly violent, but that's not what grabbed me. The characters are more complex, the story more compelling. There's more of a feel of realism to it (yes, even though we're talking comic book series). Now three episodes in, I can't wait to watch the rest of the season. Gotham was similar too.
With Batwomen, it started to get somewhat better towards the end of the season, but still left me with a feeling of having struggled to stay with the show and not really caring if there was a second season or not. Even more so know their main actor was not returning.
I will say that the blu ray does have a great picture with sharp details and decent sound for a TV show.
For the Batwomen super-fans, go for it, especially at a discounted price. For everyone else, proceed with caution down these streets of Gotham.

The 4K version of 300 is a delight to behold. This is a very stylized film and should not be mistaken for a native 4K standard movie. That said, I thought this film shows an increase in detail and texture. The CGI works well and I found no issues with effects looking fake or soft. Sound quality is top notch.
Steelbook packaging is really nice for a graphics standpoint, and work shelling out a few bucks for.
Only negative note was I noticed the disc I had played loud in my 4K player. However since this is not a movie you've want to play at low levels, it wasn't a problem. Will have to play movie again to see if it persists.
