I was surprised by how good and moving the story was. The experience is shorter, which is fitting for a VR title. My main complaint is the variety of weaponry and enemies. The combat can feel a little rote, even if the game is on the shorter side.

This movie is one of those you can watch over and over and never tire of it. The direction, cinematography and editing are meticulous. The pacing manages to be high most of the movie, and while running over 2 hours, you still don't feel as though there is filler or a point where the plot loses you.
Ledger's performance as Joker is generational, and the 4K transfer helps Nolan's work shine. A must have for showing off your home theater.

The effects hold up surprisingly well, and the movie makes a good transfer to 4K (though many will argue about a blue tint). If you're hoping for a re-master, it may be best to wait. Stands the test of time.

This movie is an intriguing Sci Fi tale that also happens to be the action movie of the decade. Chock full of cheesy one liners and gratuitous feats of masculinity, this movie lovingly embraces all of the tropes of the action genre without becoming parody. This is the movie the Expendables wished it was.
Beneath the macho exterior, there's some actual thought to the origin of the antagonist that helps shape how the plot unfolds.
The 4K transfer does the original justice without changing much. You still have the film grain you'd expect from an 80's film, and the effects have not been touched up. This is completely faithful to the original.

A nihilistic slog, and you'll love it

This game is watershed moment in narrative gaming. The cinematics, interactions and world all happen so organically that the typical "quest" feel of narrative games melts away. Even when scripted, interactions feel natural and emergent.
Narratively, it is very strong. You play the bad guy, and you are painfully aware of it almost all of the time. You are surrounded by people who constantly deny it, and that forms the engine of the narrative as you experience Arthur's story. I'm only halfway through at 40 hours, but I've seen enough of the game to know it's a tremendous achievement.
