I purchased at BestBuy.com the A T T CRL32102 cordless phone because the battery in my old GE cordless phone would no longer hold a charge and I wanted a newer cordless phone. This A T T model has all the newest/latest features so I won't list them all. It was easy to set up. It is easy to use. I was able to buy this phone at a sale price at BestBuy.com. The A T T CRL32102 offers good value at a very good price.

The movie Evolution is very funny

Netflix just added this movie to Netflix streaming during May 2019. I had never seen this movie before, so I viewed it. It reminded me a lot of Ghostbusters, where again here we have some college teachers struggling to survive who come into a situation they want to take advantage of, an alien visitation, to become rich and famous. The movie also reminded me of Men in Black because of the freakyness of the aliens. The movie has a cast of some well known actors. The movie contains its fair share of funny sequences and action sequences. I found the dvd of the movie for sale at BB for $5.99 so it was a real bargain at that price.

Cold Mountain is a great movie

I had seen Cold Mountain quite a while back on NetFlix, and then I viewed it again during April 2019 on Netflix streaming because Netflix streaming was removing it. After that last viewing in April, I decided I wanted to own this movie on blu ray disk. BB had the movie on sale for $7.99 for both the blu ray disk and digital HD copy, making it an incredible value. The movie takes place during the Civil War and shows the hardships/struggles endured by the main characters. The movie has an excellent cast of well known actors. The movie has good quality video and audio on blu ray disk.

Game of Thrones is amazing

I bought the Game of Thrones (GOT) seasons 1 - 7 blu ray box set for 2 reasons as follows: 1 - It was on sale for $113, a savings of $60.00 (34% off). 2 - I had seen some episodes of GOT on HBO on those weekends once a year when Directv offered up HBO for free, so I was familiar with GOT. GOT is an action/adventure/fantasy series on HBO. The episodes contain adult themes like strong language, violence, and some nudity. But above all else, the series is intelligently written and has high production values. I have started viewing the blu ray disks, and so far so good, meaning the video and audio quality is excellent. For disk 1, there was a paper insert with an unlock code to unlock the online streaming/download capability for seasons 1 - 7 of the episodes for these seasons. It presents you with the option to use either VUDU or itunes. I am an itunes user, so I elected to use itunes. It worked, the episodes for seasons 1 - 7 were made available in my online itunes library (in the cloud). I will be buying season 8 of GOT on blu ray when BB begins selling it later in 2019 (as soon as the show airs its finale on HBO, which is season 8).

The Amazon Echo Dot 3rd generation is great

Back towards the end of 2018, I bought 2 of the Amazon Echo Dot 3rd generation for $50,00 at BB. When I got it home, I was surprised at the sound quality from such a little device because the sound quality is very good. I have used the device to listen to my radio stations on Pandora and my local FM music stations and my all news radio stations on the AM band. Note the device only works with your wifi; it is not a radio receiver. If you have an amazon music library you can play the music you have on amazon.com. I have used the device with some smart plugs to turn on and off electric heaters. It is a very useful device since you can ask it all kinds of questions, and it responds like Apple Siri or Google Assistant. I liked it so much, I went to BB 2 more times, each time buying 2 at a time for $50.00. I have a total of 6 of these devices in different rooms of my house: Living Room, Kitchen, 2 Bed Rooms, Bathroom where I can use it as a shower radio, and a Game Room. When you can get the device at BB 2 for $50.00 or 2 for $60.00 ($30.00 each), it is an especially good value. The device responds to queries/commands directed to Alexa, and Alexa is getting smarter all the time by amazon adding "skills" to what she can do. I opted for the Echo Dot in Charcoal which is very attractive. Final comments: What sold me on the device in the first place was the review on youtube by Craig's Tech Talk...On youtube look for "New Amazon Echo Dot 3rd Generation - Unboxing and First Impressions" where you can find out all about the device and see and hear how great it is.

The 4TB Easystore is excellent

Some months back I purchased the 4TB Easystore. I use it for storing MP4 video files. I also plug it into the back of my WD MyCloud NAS drive to access the video files I saved to the 4TB Easystore drive via my network wifi. The 4 TB Easystore drive is fast even when accessing my files thru the NAS on my wifi. The 4TB Easystore is compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 (which is faster). The 4TB Easystore is also very quiet. It is a good choice for additional storage when you need it.

The Samsung UBD-M8500 is excellent

I was already using a UBD-M8500 in the bedroom of my house on an LG 4k TV and it worked great. I wanted a second UBD-M8500 to use in the living room on a Samsung 4k TV, so I bought another one at BB. The UBD-M8500 does a very good job playing 4k HDR disks, regular blu ray disks, and dvd disks. The upscaling of regular blu ray disks and DVDs to near 4k quality is excellent. Samsung has an excellent app store, where you can find the major apps to install such as: Netflix, Vudu, Fandango Now, Roku Channel, Google Play Movies, Amazon Video, Crackle, Youtube, Accuweather, Pandora Radio, Amazon Music, and many more. The blu ray player is DLNA certified, so you can play mp3 music and mp4 video files from a device such as WD MyCloud or even a usb thumb drive. The Wifi works great. The blu ray player also has a built in web browser too.

The LG 49SK8000 is a good tv

I bought the LG 49SK8000 at Best Buy online on Thanksgiving weekend 2018. The tv was shipped free via UPS. The tv arrived in 3 days and in good shape. At the time of my purchase, I had narrowed down my choices to either the LG 49SK8000 or the Samsung UN49NU8000. I wanted a tv that sat on a pedestal, not a tv that had legs that were far apart. I also wanted a 4k capable tv to replace a Samsung 43 inch 1080p tv that I had been using that was losing picture brightness. At the time of my purchase, both the Samsung TV and the LG TV were selling for about $700 prior to the Thanksgiving sale. Then the LG TV was priced at $500 for the Thanksgiving sale. So I bought the LG TV because it fit my needs, budget, and because it was both DolbyVision and HDR capable. I am using the TV with a Yamaha RX-V683 surround sound receiver as the hub of my home theater system. I am also using the tv with Apple TV 4k where I get many of my movies from itunes in DolbyVision and HDR. I am also using a Samsung UBD-M8500 4k blu ray player. I am also using a Directv set top box for 1080i tv broadcasts. The LG 49SK8000 performs well within my home theater system: It handles Dolbyvision movies and HDR movies from Apple itunes via Apple 4k TV well. It handles 1080p movies and HDR movies from blu disks used on the Samsung UBD-M8500 well. The Directv broadcasts look good also. I should point out that when I first got the tv, I had to do a lot of tinkering with the picture adjustments for Dolbyvision movies, HDR movies, 1080p movies and normal broadcast tv pictures. I found it necessary to adjust the picture settings for each type of input and then save the settings for each type of input. The tv automatically loads my saved picture setting depending on the type of input I am viewing. I am writing this review months after my purchase because the LG 49SK8000 purchased from Best Buy was a good purchase. There may still be a limited supply of these TVs available from Best Buy, and they still offer good value for the what you pay.

LG UBK90 is just average

I bought the LG UBK90 from BB 12-4-2018 to be used with an LG 4k TV LG 49SK8000PUA which was purchased Thanksgiving weekend 2018 at BB online. After owning the LG UBK90 for a few months, I am no longer satisfied with it. I have replaced the UBK90 with a Samsung UBD-M8500 which I feel is quite superior. (1) The LG UBK90 only comes with 2 apps: Netflix and Youtube. (2) The LG UBK90 does not have access to the LG Content store to get any additional apps. There is no apps store for the UPK90. (3) The user interface on the UBK90, while simple, is unappealing. (4) There is no DLNA support via the UBK90. (5) The UBK90 tries to upscale everything to DolbyVision, and oversaturates the color for non DolbyVision Disks. You cannot control DolbyVision, that is turn it off, or switch to HDR. (6) The UPK90 does not even offer you the ability to see what your input is via an onscreen query (is the input 1080p, or SDR or HDR?). I have found that the Samsung UBD-M8500, while being only HDR capable (no DolbyVision) is superior in every other aspect, and makes the LG UBK90 basically a no frills entry level DolbyVision blu ray player. If you can choose between the LG UBK90 and the Samsung UBD-M8500, get the Samsung UBD-M8500, even if you have to wait for BB to get it in stock. The HDR quality of the Samsung UBD-M8500 makes up for it not having DolbyVision.

For some odd reason my last few lg 4k players sound like a turbine spinning up when it plays the 4k disk. Is this player quieter than previous models
Re: Does the UBK90 play all disks quietly? No. I have found that it plays some disks emitting a lot of noise as the disk is spinning in the unit. I have just replaced my LG UBK90 with a Samsung UBD-8500 which is quite superior in almost every aspect. I have submitted my review to BB concerning the LG UBK90 on 5/12/2019, and they may post it in a few days. Here is what I had to say. These are all criticisms of the LG UBK90...It only comes with 2 apps: youtube and netflix. There is no apps store for the LG UBK90, which means that you cannot add additional apps. You cannot turn off DolbyVision; it tries to upscale everything to DolbyVision. For non DolbyVision disks, it oversaturates the color for whatever you are watching. The user interface for the UBK90 is simple to use, but unappealing to look at. There is no way to query the UBK90 to see what the input disk is. For instance, is the input 1080p, SDR, or HDR, there is no convenient way to get this info. There is no DLNA support. The UBK90 is a no frills DolbyVision player. While the Samsung UBD-M8500 does not have DolbyVision, its HDR capability (which is very good) and its other features make it a superior UHD blu ray player. John
