I have a 3600 square foot house, will this router be good for me ?
This modem is a signal beast and is ideal for large homes or businesses.
Having said that, the thickness of walls, and the number of floors can affect a signal.
I have my ASUS RT-AC5300 located in an office in my basement. Our home has a total of about 3200 square feet and is a split level that is really three stories counting the basement. This router blasts on its own a solid 5 bars throughout my first two floors and even outside next to the house, and at times vacillates between 3 to 5 bars on the top floor of our home.
We have set up other routers to serve as relays or bridges to ensure that we're blasting five bars throughout the house. This is an excellent base unit for a "mesh" type network.

Do you need a modem to power this router? And if you don’t need a modem is the router still good? I am looking for something to power my PC for gaming, i’m not sure if this would be the one because I do not have a Modem.
A router is what its name implies... It routes network and internet traffic.
You need an internet source if you want connection to the outside world. An internet service provider (ISP) is provided typically by cable and phone companies. A modem is a device that is necessary to host your internet connection to your home or business. It's the ISP's terminus to your location. Some modems can also double as a router, and will have several ethernet ports on it to handle more networking device connections. A simple modem (with no router capability) typically will only have two ports. One port for the incoming internet connection from the outside, and one port to connect your internal networking devices like a router or switch.
The router can handle network traffic among internally connected devices, and it can do this to have devices talking to each other, whether you're connected to the internet or not. A router can handle both wired and wireless connected devices, as long as the router clearly is labeled as a wireless or wifi router. The ASUS RT-AC5300 can manage both wired and wireless device traffic.
It's my guess that you want your internal network devices, not only connected and interacting with each other, but you probably also want connectivity to the internet.

Ours definitely has reduced battery life due to it being used and because of its age. However the price and overall condition of the phone made this purchase acceptable for us. We have many local vendors who sell and install replacement batteries including Apple and other 3rd parties. We are not to the point of feeling like we have to replace the battery yet, but it will still be worth what we paid for this when we do.
