Case feature brke, and found out it's discontinued

The intricate little flip switch that turns mute on and off broke. Turns out this case is apparently discontinued on the Otterbox website, and a replacement is unavailable. I had to take a case that does not have the MagSafe circle/line thing on it, making me think that OtterBox isn't paying their licensing fees to Apple ad had to stop using that design mark. So does it actually work with MagSafe as it is today? I guess I'll find out when I get the replacement.
The sales person refused to price-match it, so not exactly happy, but OtterBox did replace it, for $9.99.

It did not charge my Apple Watch, but appeared to charge my iPhone. I will try a higher power plugin brick and see if it works better. If it ends up requiring a higher power charging brick, it would be so special if Apple actually included it with the purchase.
I wouldn't recommend it at this time. If it requires a 'special' adapter to work, if should be specified that it NEEDS that adapter, so people aren't stumbling in the dark to try to get it to work. It's a great idea, and looks so elegant for travel and nightly use, but the charging adapter is an issue.

So far, so good. Replaces a shingling Seagate drive that died. One of FOUR that I had, and none of them are still running! What a disaster. I was able to get some data off of it, and it was backed up, but it's a pain to comb through backups looking for files. I've got 30 year old drives still running! OUCH!!!

In what I'd consider 'light duty', the locked in end of the loop pulled out! It was on a hold down strap inside a suitcase. It was usually right there, attached, firmly I thought, to that strap, until it wasn't. I have another one that has survived being yanked, and tugged as it's on the outside of a carry-on bag. I was shocked to see this one fail to be honest, considering how the other one I have has survived such brutal treatment. Disappointed... I'll take it apart, obviously, to see what happened, and if it's repairable/reusable.

Oh, I feel so stupid. I forgot to close it just before I left for vaca. (I was in such a rush to pack and setup the AIrTags and holders) I could have sworn that I closed it and locked it on the strap in the suitcase, but after opening it (I didn't pack the allen key) I can see that there was absolutely no way that would ever come off, short of ripping the strap off, or destroying the suitcase. It's really very well made and I would very highly recommend it to people. I have several different models of Belkin AirTag holders too, and they all are great!

Can I use external hard drive to transfer my movies from my dish hopper to this hard drive
I wouldn't think so. I have an AT&T DVR, and I can't transfer anything off that box to external storage. If you could, I doubt the data would be usable.
Some DVR boxes do allow for accessory add-on storage, but it's going to be heavily encrypted. I'm not familiar with the 'Hopper', but DRM is so crazy, and a PITA. YMMV...

Is this compatable with an old mac mini with high sierra os ?
The drive is agnostic. You may run into a problem because the drive is so large. I think the early versions of macOS had a hard coded limit on the size of a drive. As I remember, it's 2tb. And re-partition it as an Apple disk.
I'd recommend going with a smaller capacity drive than this 5tb drive.
