Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs needs no introduction. This very first feature length animated film still holds up 85 years after it was released. The artwork is exquisite and Disney has done right by this restoration. The colors are better and more accurate than ever before, and the original fine film grain is visible and preserved. This disc should be in every collection.

This is a great movie that you never get tired of revisiting. The only "flaw" with this disc is that all the film grain has been removed from the image. The movie still looks beautiful and is clean and crisp. But that filmic looks is unfortunately now gone.

As much as I love the original film, and don't get me wrong, it is a classic, this version is an even better interpretation of the source material. For those that may be upset that this film was made at all, please remember that the stage version has seen thousands of permutations over the last six plus decades. Across the globe, from high school gyms to the grandest stages on Broadway and the West End, this story and the unforgettable music that goes with it, have brought audiences to their feet.

This film is pure Cinematic Cheez Whiz. And I mean that with love and respect. It combines a great concept with really bad dialogue. One of the greatest Rock Opera soundtracks with misguided casting. (A Frenchmen playing a Scotsman!) And a charismatic performance by Sean Connery (A Scotsman playing an Egyptian masquerading as a Spaniard!!!!) with whatever most of the other actors are doing. This amazing combination is too good for this world.
