Wish Hidden Costs would go away.

Why can’t this chord, necessary for this item to work, be included in the total cost? I hate hidden costs and not being able to know how much you are going to have to spend until the last minute. I was hoping to spend around 1,000 for both the washer and dryer, but after these chord add ons and delivery, haul away, and installation, it was over $1,300, very frustrating to have $300 in added costs. I would have gone back and lowered the price of the washer/dryer to get the total closer to $1,000 but at that point it had taken me so long to get all of the issues ironed out, I didn’t have the time or energy to do it. We needed a washer/dryer.

I like this washer! I just dump and go! No need to delicately place all of the clothes equally weighed on each side.
Sadly, the electronics don’t save to my old settings. So I have to engage my mind more every load. I used to turn on my old one and hit start. Now I have to hit power and select everything myself and then hit start. The buttons are right on top of each other so oftentimes I accidentally turn off the washer instead of hitting start and then I have to input all of the settings all over again.

Door handle, You Deal!

So far so good. The lint catcher was strange at first but now I’m used to it. It’s taller than my last one and the door handle couldn’t be moved to the other side without an additional fee, which had to be paid before, which was not ever considered and too after the fact to do anything about. Frustrating. This wasn’t an issue on my last dryer but my old dryer door opened wider. This doesn’t open very wide so it is definitely something I will have to figure out how to adjust, on my own, at another time, and with another fee. I wish BB was wanting to perform a superior service and would care better for their loyal customers, instead of pushing off the responsibility onto me. I felt like the installer treated me like, “You deal with it. Not my problem.”

Hidden Fees $ Not a fan

These seem necessary and required so why are they not included in the price. It’s hard to compare with other washing machines because some have this cost included. I don’t like hidden fees and when I went to check out even with total tech free installation and a great discount, these pushed up the cost unexpectedly.
If it’s necessary to have a unit installed with something, they should be included with the cost of the item.

We'll deliver, install and make sure your new electric dryer is working. We'll connect a new, customer-supplied 220V power cord and vent kit. Additional charges may apply if not up to local codes or requirements.

The delivery pre-checklist was a great reminder of why I needed to do to prepare the space for the Washer and Dryer delivery. Unfortunately the installer couldn’t locate the information about the haul away that I had paid for for both of them, and because of an account merge issue, my receipt was sent to an old work email that I couldn’t access. After calling and being told I would be on hold for over 30 min to try to prove that I had paid for the haul away, I tried to access a live agent through the app. I got to talk to someone right away. I think being a total tech member put me to the front of the list and contacting Best Buy through the app was a good experience. They saw the email issue, sent me a new receipt I could print out and prove that I had paid for the haul away. Thankfully in the process of me working on all that, the delivery team located the haul away instructions and were able to take my old Washer/Dryer with them. The installer sadly didn’t use the broom that was there in the room and because I was on the phone with Best Buy when he pulled out the old units, I couldn’t properly clean out the area. So I have new units on a very dirty floor. I wish they did a better job with a basic cleaning service. I would even pay for it as a add on because I don’t feel comfortable unhooking and pulling my washer and dryer out to clean behind them so this is a crucial time to tidy that area.
Overall it was installed and set up properly and has been working well ever since.
