Not bad for what it does, but over priced

Google's best attempt at a phone, but....

Coming from a Pixel 3a XL this was a great jump forward, but the battery life is sad. Many battery tests the standard Pixel 6 beats the Pro. This phone really needed a 5500mAh battery and then I would be 5 stars across the board. As it is you need to disable 5G and lower refresh to 60Hz to get it to last decent time even with light to moderate use. It is a solid phone as long as you know what you are getting into. Compared to the Pixel 6 the $300 premium gets you 120Hz display (eats battery) and a better camera (if you take a lot of telephoto shots then this is worth it) I sent this back and got the 6. Maybe the Pixel 7 will be what the Pixel 6 should have been.

I have had several Android phones over the years. Motorola, Samsung, OnePlus and then switch to Pixel 3a XL. That Pixel was a beast and just a tad slow. It was getting old and with the Pixel 6/6 Pro coming out I knew I wanted to upgrade. I tried a 6 Pro, but the curves screen and less than stellar batter did not make the phone worth $300 more.
I picked up the 6 and it is overall an impressive phone that has 2 short comings. First a weak in screen finger print scanner. Put a sensor on the back again , please. Second the subpar battery life. I don't understand how Apple can continue to dominate with battery life while Android needs bigger batteries and still cant touch the iPhones. Google needs 500mAh more in the 6 and 6 Pro to truly compete.
Overall outside those 2 issues the phone is good. It is quick and I like Android 12 so far. The battery app is garbage so I loaded a third party battery tool that tells me much more about what my phone is using. I disabled 90Hz and 5G as those 2 hurt battery and now at least it seems on par with my Pixel 3a XL. Very sad that they can't do better.

Really great little frig with a few minor quirks

Wanted a small refrigerator to handle some overflow form our new counter depth unit. Put this in the basement and it is a nice unit. The temperature controls and explanations on to use them are a little confusing and down right contradictory, but the unit gets things cold and keeps them there. The freezer basically has a slide control which seems to control the air flow to the freezer, the main temperature control is in the main area. It is a simple 1-5 scale when 3 seems to be the default. Even on the default the freezer runs -10 or colder and main are seems to be about 34-36. Trying to figure out the right combination of the slider so the the overall balance of freezer temp vs. main area temp stays reasonable seems to be a challenge. Overall a really great unit, if I were single in an apartment this would be perfect unit. Has very well through out storage.

I have 2 of the 2017 Shields and very pleased with them. I also had. Apple TV 4K and while the Apple has always had a slightly better picture quality the overall Shield experience was better for me. Well the Shield Pro is a another evolutionary step forward. The addition Dolby Vision and enhanced scaling options really polish the device off. I was mixed about the new remote, but it fits in the hand nicely and works great. Now if they would add YouTube HDR support this would be the perfect decide. Setting the AI Scaling mode to Enhanced mode gives the device equal picture quality to the Apple TV 4K, but adds in better audio support and pass through audio options.

Good design with a few minor short comings.

I had a larger non-counter depth LG that was 15 years old and working perfect. We tried one of the units with the instaview doors, but it had inconsistent cooling and the instaview door was also warmer. That one is on its way back to BB. Wife wanted counter depth and I was nervous as I loved the space of bigger units, but we taped off the shelves to see what a counter depth would be like and realized we would be fine. It seems the new LG models the temp setting is overly optimistic and you actually run 2-3 degrees warmer than set. We started at 34 to get the unit up to temp and let things settling down only to find the reals temps to be about 36-37 and finally settled on 36 which gets to about 38-40 very consistently within the unit. My 15 year old LG french door was the opposite, the temp setting was the worst case number as if I set it to 36 the back items were around 32.
Overall a nice unit. I wish there were mode adjustment items for the door bins as well as the inside shelves as it limits how you want to put things inside. The big plus on these latest LG units is the door bins are huge! I am a bit nervous as LG seems to be having compressor issues the last few years, but I am hoping the lower capacity of this unit will help it work less and last longer. The biggest complaint people have is the ice maker, well I never hook them up as they are the first thing to break. Also people forget they need to leave 2 inches behind the unit to allow proper air flow. Once mistake many make is the vents are at the bottom back and if you push this flush to baseboards you are restrict the back vents.
Props to BB as their customer service is great, but hold times are crazy long.

Dumb design with only full width shelves

I really wanted to get this model as it is perfect size, but the 2 shelves are full width shelves which means we can't put tall items on the bottom since we can't remove one side. Cheap design that really cripples the appeal of this model.

Huge and quiet.

I have a similar sized LG French door refrigerator that was 14 years old and working fine, but we wanted a newer model since ours has a dent in the door. I don’t care about water or ice in the front door as you give up valuable space. My old LG was the exact same dimensions. We just got it and it is so quiet you can’t tell it is running. The see through door gimmick is nice, but the ability to just open the outer door to get at the basics is great.
There is a few less positions to adjust the height of the shelves, but there is plenty of space. The door shelves are huge so a lot can be kept on the doors. The freezer section is very practical and has plenty of space as well. My old LG had horrible way of closing the French doors and seals, they have improved this model and the door closes nicely and seals well. The LED lighting lights up the interior very well. I hope to get 14+ years out of this one like my old one.

Decent phone with some limitations

I was getting annoyed with some of my OnePlus 6 quirks and always wanted a Pixel and pure Android. Oddly maybe I am not as eager for pure Android as I thought I was with some of the dumb things Google forces on you. I hate the Google search bar and wish they would let me delete it and the quick info date/weather status which waste too much valuable home screen space. I see the 3a XL suffers from the same very low ringtone volume that the flagship Pixels suffer from.
Build quality and display are excellent. I am eager to see how battery life hold up. Also my OnePlus 6 had frequent call connectivity issues and tower hand off issues so I am eager to see how Google's hardware hold up.
I am not a power user so this phone is more than fast enough for me. I do wish Google offered microSD for expanded storage, but I can fit what I need in 64GB.
Clearly at this price point it is hard to beat this phone especially if you use the camera occasionally. I was ready to get a Moto G7 Power as I like their phones, but then this came out and BestBuy had some great discounts via gift cards so was hard to pass up.

One thing I don't like about the appliance is the gimmick with the easy access door creates 2 problems, first items on the that door are warmer than if it were a traditional door since there is no insulation in the door like the rest of the refrigerator and take longer to cool due to poor air flow. Second is this unit temperature si far form the setting. I set the temp 36 and after 24 hours most items are barely 40-42 degrees and we have hardly opened the door at all. This supposedly has 5 temperature sensors, but not sure LG has it nailed yet, I had similar temperature inconsistencies with my older LG, but usually it ran colder than the setting, this one seems to run warmer than the setting. Hopefully after a few days

Well 2 days in with temp set to 35 and everything in fridge is around 42 degrees, not good. This thing struggles to cool and cools extremely unevenly for their “multi-flow” system with 5 temperature sensors. The freezer is good as everything seems to be 0 degrees. This cold saver door is a mess as everything on that door is not cold. Guess I am calling BB today for an exchange, maybe for a more traditional model. Too bad LG swing and a miss, this new model needs some work. I was nervous about buying a new model.

The refrigerator comes ready to automatically create ice. Find exactly what you've been looking for under crisp, clear lighting. Raised edges help contain spills and make clean-up quick and easy. The full-width deli drawer allows party trays and larger items to fit easily and remain at the ideal temperature. The Quick Space shelf quickly slides out of the way to make room for tall items.

If you purchased this fridge, look for black stuff and black film in your water. The filters that are used for this fridge are defective. it doesn't matter how much water you flush out. I was told by a GE rep that the black stuff may never go away through the life of the filter, which means I will always have black stuff in my water. Also, the water coming DIRECTLY from the fridge is over 50 degrees, I had a service rep out the other day and the water tested out at 60 degrees. GE is not taking responsibility for this. Look at all the reviews, they all talk about how it looks and the space. I bet if they looked at their (from a white glass (I have tons of picture to prove it)) water they'd see black stuff. I've used 3 filters, flushed many gallons of water and cleaned out the ice try. I've been told this in a known issue.

I bought this fridge after reading the positive reviews in July. The first one of these leaked 3 days after I bought it all into our floor damaging the baseboards. LG sent out a technician to fix it and the technician said that this fridge has a known design flaw. There is no heating coil on the line going into the freezer/ice maker. This is where the leak was coming from underneath. They tried to fix this but within 2 days, it leaked again. After hours on the phone with LG and 2 trips to Home Depot where I bought it, I finally was able to get a replacement, same make and model. Within a month of the 2nd fridge, same issue. It leaked water all over the floor and this time the freezer completely froze up making lots of frost and the fridge could not get proper air circulation and so the fridge temp was around 48 degrees. Same repair people came out, fixed this fridge only to have it leak again 4 days later. LG said the repair people had to come out for a 3rd time to try to repair this 2nd broken fridge and is refusing to give me a refund as I have lost confidence in this model that it will ever work right. The repair people said that LG's engineers and technical people are well aware of this issue with this model and have received several complaints of this exact nature. Yet, with this design flaw, they are still making and selling this model. Saw yourself the 10+ hours I have been on the phone and all the headache and frustration of dealing with LG customer service, who really could not give a care, and buy something else.

Life's Good? You must not have the misfortune to actually own a LG product. I purchased a refrigerator 4 years ago and the compressor went out. It was out for weeks before I could actually get a repairman lined up to come out. One said they wouldn't work on a LG, one said he was sent out not knowing it was the compressor and didn't have the equipment of the skill to do it, another one said he was too far away to come, another one said they could do the work but wouldn't because they were in a dispute with LG. Finally one who could do the work only to find LG had sent the wrong compressor. More wait. They said they would compensate us for food lost after the work was finished and it would take 2-3 weeks. It was completed on Feb 28, three weeks ago, and now I find out they will not do the reimbursement because we don't have our receipt. They know who we purchased the refrigerator from, they know when, but they will not go forward because we aren't in possession of the receipt. Three repairmen told us they would not buy an LG because of all the problems they see with them. Another one said "You know what LG stands for? Lost Groceries". Customer service is obviously not important to them. They are willing to lose a customer (and many more who get word of this experience) over the reimbursement cost. I will never own another LG product again.

All these appliance makers are the same, LG, Samsung, etc, pick one. They all figure they move enough good product and don;t want to spend any money supporting customer since they will factor customer churn into their projections. If a few percent have a bad experience and move on they will capture those defecting from say Samsung or Whirlpool. It comes down to the luck of the drawer on your appliance, if you get one that breaks expect a horrible experience.

Sending back due to inconsistent temps

I wanted to like this fridge, but the instaview door never get cool enough and the inconsistent temps mean leaving the setting on 33-34 just to get around 40 degrees throughout the unit. I think LG needs to find a better way to cool the doors and keep them cool. The vents above the doors only really help the top bin in each door. I found items on the instaview door about 5+ degrees warmer that anywhere else in the fridge. I even removed the inner plastic door to hep keep the items cool and was able to get the temps better, but either the unit is defective or just not capable of adequate cooling. Maybe next time we'll try again.

these phones are still garbage to this day. Not a single pixel can connect connect via hdmi out. these phones are garbage. i can buy a mid range phone that can atleast do that. NAME ONE PIXEL THAT CAN CONNECT VIA HDMI OUT, NOT A SINGLE ONE.

I ordered this because it says Apple TV compatible, but I have the Apple TV 4K and while it can select the Apple device when I go to pair it with the Apple the Appl says the keys (round keypad for right) is already defined form something else.

Does the passthrough allow for dolby vision?
I can!t say for 100%, but looking over all the spec sheets it does not mention Dolby Vision. Considering Samsung has not supported Dolby a Vision in their TVs I would not be surprised to see them NOT support it in this bar. I continue to search for the definitive answer as I am seriously considering this bar to replace the quirky LG SL9YG I just bough and must return.

There is a screw at the top of the inside portion of the door at the top of the metal rod that forms the hinge. If you take that screw out there is a small plastic insert that can be removed. Then you can push the metal rod up and out to remove the inside plastic door. Let's see if this helps keep the door contents colder.
