At $59 this is a surprisingly good player. Simple to hook up and setup. Picture quality is good on 4K and up conversion is good on Blue ray. The only thing lacking would be a separate optical output for audio to a receiver. And since it is a tiny unit it does a tiny remote.
Basically, for the price of a decent budget Blue ray unit you have 4K.

This 8 series set really is a very good 4K set. Out of the box setup was easy and quick connection to the internet brought up 2 updates for up conversion and image. The overall menu system is easy to navigate, with a good number of system options and adjustments. Out of the box the pix is bright (I set it for energy saving and it is bright enough for most room conditions.) Fleshtones were excellent.
Audio quality is on par with these sets, took a while to get it how we like the tonal quality. Plenty of inputs.
For $629, a very good value.

My daughter (17) was introduced to Grand Hollywood musicals this year in her drama class. Singing in the rain. She loved it. So I suggested another great Gene Kelly one. This. With more interpretive dancing and a terrific story line and great directing by Kelly, she loved this, too. Revisit this with you family. They'll love it. And a good transfer as well.

I have a hisense65 H8 my tv from day one it says a upgrade but it fails every time can’t find the down load on the website do I have to return the tv or is there a usb with the right version to download to the tv thank for your time
Are you connected to the internet? During setup my set detected my home system and had no problem linking and doing the updates immediately. So check that first. once you are in your network you can go to the system menu and check for updates if it doesn't immediately do that.
