This has been a great multifunction printer. Every once in a while, software updates would change the way the scanning function works and I'd have to figure it out. My volume has been greatly reduced with my workload in the last 2 pandemic years. Today I have the first mechanical/electrical problem after 5 years. I will either be replacing a printhead for the first time ever or getting a new printer. I've certainly gotten my money's worth.

The part that goes into the cigarette lighter is TOO BIG around! I couldn't believe it. I've got a 1997 Toyota Avalon. I bought this for my Magellan Roadmate 1470. The part that goes into the GPS fits just fine. So disappointed. I'm sure Best Buy did not know this. It is going back.
Last time I got a universal car charger from Best Buy but without the dual USB, it worked just fine. I'm now wondering if NEWER cars have a larger lighter receptacle.

do you have to subscribe to HP+ ? This is for home and i don't print very often.
No you don't. If you print less than 50 pages a month, it's probably not worth it for you. 50 pages a month costs $3.99 or $47.88/year starting AFTER the 6 free months and the free initial replacements you get right away. At that rate, you might not need new cartridges, which are very expensive - $95 for a regular size 4-pack, for over a year. By that time, you might be able to find inexpensive remanufactured cartridges. I signed up for the 100 pages per month plan starting last October and I just used my initial FREE color cartridge replacements this month. So they lasted me 5 months and I have about 5-10% left on the black cartridge that it came with. ALL THAT SAID, the free initial replacement cartridges are a good deal and I think you can cancel any time.
