I am not sure if this will help your situation, but the Ring Video Doorbell 2 can also be wired. That way you would not have to worry about the battery draining down while you were away. Can this be hung on the wall?
Yes. We mounted it flat on our bedroom wall using a Sanus wall mount. It was very easy following the instructions included with the mount. Just be sure to find the stud(s) in the wall before you start drilling holes for the screws. Only took us about 20 mins to complete.
