First off, the packaging is very nice. It's a great looking steelbook.
The movie itself leaves a lot to be desired. It's like they had no plan going into it. It's sloppy, all over the place, and disjointed. This trilogy started off promising, and quickly fell apart.
I struggle giving this 2 stars, as I love Star Wars, but oof.

Pretty nice tv, BUT...

It's a pretty looking tv. Both aesthetically, and with HD content. I do NOT, however like how 4k content looks. I had seen a number of various TV's on display with 4k content in stores and it didn't seem like how this tv displays it. It's VERY prone to the soap opera effect. Distractingly so.
Also there is severe audio lag with this device. I've had the same A/V set up for years and never had an audio sync problem, but it is SO pronounced on this set.
1080p content is fantastic though. Such a fantastic picture. Bright, colorful, and sharp.
If you really enjoy 4k content (I'm finding that I don't), then this is a great set. If you mostly watch 1080p content, there are much cheaper 1080p sets that will get you a comparable picture.

I purchased this for my father, as he basically just checks his emails, reads a few automotive articles online, and will watch a random YouTube movie here and there. Out of the box this PC is SO slow, it struggled to function with two tabs open on Firefox (and don't get me started with how it reacted to chrome operating). The problem is, my dad didn't tell me it was so slow until after the return period expired. So I threw some more memory into it, which helped, but there are times it still struggles. I would ONLY suggest buying this if you need it for the very most rudimentary tasks (basically email).

Love the OS. This is my first pixel. I come from mostly Samsung smart phones where there is so much crap loaded on the system, and the pixels not having that is wonderful. What I wish Google would do with these is add a micro SD slot. I hate the cloud stuff. I don't want all my music and pics and everything there. I want it all on physical media on the phone. For instance, all my music which I had to upload to Google play, had countless errors while doing it and are now fragmented in my playlist. All of this could be avoided by simply having a micro SD slot. I know it was done to cut down on costs, but geez. The "glass" on my 3aXL was pretty fragile. It's the only phone screen I've ever broken. (I've owned 8 smart phones), and i literally broke it 2 months after buying it. When I broke it, it was about a 2 foot fall into concrete with a case on it. The crack isn't horrible, but it is annoying. I have learned to live with it, as I wasn't able to find anyplace that offered screen replacement at the time it happened (Oct 2019). Good phone. Just shy of being great though.

I've had this 4K player for nearly a year now, and while the picture quality is nice, there is a very noticeable (to me) lag in audio. Whether that's this player, my tv, my receiver, or a mixture of the three. However, I assume it's the player because 4k audio is fine through other sources, also running through the receiver and tv. Perhaps the Sony software isn't powerful enough to process the audio as quickly as it should be. Perhaps I have a faulty unit. But I have spoken with Sony support, and they don't care to do anything about it, that it's "close enough". Well, maybe for them, but not for me, and it's distracting while watching 4k movies.
Also, you can't get Disney+ on this player. I also contacted customer support and they said they will forward my complaint on, but that they know of no plans to add it as an app at this time.
I'd steer clear of this unit, until they can get this stuff fixed. And I'm a lifelong Sony guy. Very disappointed in this unit, and Sony's responses thus far. Makes me wish I had gone with a different manufacturer for a 4k player.
