I first tried one of the J5create docks, for about half the price, and the performance was unreliable. The Microsoft dock, however, is very well built and, with its weight, stays put on my desk with all of the peripherals connected. Setup was very easy and I was able to connect two additional monitors. Overall, even with the price, I am happy with the purchase.
