Nice upgrade from the P900...

This was a well-needed upgrade from the Nikon P900 and much more compact than the bulky P1000. Its kind of a combination of both, hence the P950 label.
The viewfinder is a nice update. Much easier to see your photos before and after the shot. It also shoots in RAW format, and you have quick access to exposure compensation with a new dial on the left side of the camera. The "moon mode" is a nice option for those moon shots. It also shoots in 4K @ 30fps or 1080 @ 60 video.
I wish it was weather and dust proof, as it's a great hiking camera being somewhat light and compact for a 2000mm zoom.
The image stabilization is very impressive. A great asset when you're at 2000mm zoom.
I'd say @ $799, it's a lot of bang for the buck. I wish it had a larger sensor, and maybe 20MP over 16MP, but from a value standpoint, Nikon did well.
Five stars to both BestBuy (Chapel Hill Store) and Nikon.

The RX10 IV is one heck of a camera. It's not cheap, but having that much zoom and that much clarity (thanks to the Zeiss lens) packed into a small package that you can carry on hikes is worth the money. Instead of paying $1699 for a new one, I got a refurbished one from Best Buy for $1250, and put a two year warranty on it, and still only had $1450 wrapped up in it. And don't have to worry about drops, spills, etc.
The HDR mode is really impressive too. The pics come out VERY real looking, and without having to go thru all the steps of blending the three pics with software, etc.
I love how it's weather and dust resistant. There really is no reason to lug around a heavy and bulky DSLR camera and multiple lenses with you. That gets heavy, and I am not a fan of changing lenses in the field.
I had a D750 with a 28-300mm lens, and although it was a great camera, this just makes life so much easier. I'll post a few pics I took already with it. Just for the reference, the moon shot was handheld. No tripod. The image stabilization really works well. Amazing...

The Bose Wave Radio is $599. This baby was $279. That's less than half the price. And the sound is a perfect amount of lows, mids, and highs. Reception really depends on your location and other factors, but with IHeart Radio and all the other ways to connect these days, that's not a huge issue. Both music and talk radio sound superb.
I put mine on a little shelf in my dining area and man does that white & black pop! So many of the shelf radios out there looked like something outta Star Wars.
I posted a couple pics so you can see how good it looks. My only complaint is that they don't stock these in the stores. They certainly should be. Yamaha hit a grand slam with this one. I'm a retired guy, so I'll get my use out of this baby...

Looks great, the remote is VERY nice, and it really does pack some power. If you're looking to fill a large room with sound, then go elsewhere, but if you want to use it for a small to medium sized room, it's a wonderful deal. I got mine for $159 as they had a special for Elite Plus members. But even at retail price, it's a great deal.
I originally bought it for a 55" TV, but put it on the shelf in the dining room, and it is a much better option than a shelf radio, and looks much better, too. So I'll get another one for the TV. At that price, and as good as they sound and look, I'll take two, please.

A must-have for the hiker / photographer

I mounted this baby to my 5.11 backpack and man what a huge help this will be on those long hikes. When using a sling strap, no matter what I did, the camera would bang against not only my hip but my cell phone (which I also carry on my hip), which could potentially damage either device.
It was simple to install, set up. I took a little test hike just to see how secure it was. Not only was it nice and secure, but it also was really easy to dismount the camera with the quick release tab when you have to take that quick shot that you weren't prepared for.

I think the 50" QLED is the way to go. Huge 65" TVs show more flaws in the picture, and tend to look kind of gawdy in a small room. I don't think a lot of people see it that way.
Love the Ambient Mode feature, although I wish you could use a flash drive of your own photos instead of the sample pics they offer. That definitely should be changed next time.
At $649 I thought it was a pretty good deal. Very happy with it.

I love this TV, but as an amateur photographer, I would love to be able to upload multiple photos so that the Ambient Mode function turns into a slide show instead of simple being able to display one photo constantly. It appears that it's limited to one photo. Am I correct?

I know the 9th Gen IPad isn’t full of the latest greatest in technology, and it APPEARS to be the same as the 8th Gen IPad, but…
It has a new front facing camera with Center Stage technology….a faster processor, and a few other updates including more memory. And….they price matched Amazon so I got mine for $299.
I couldn’t justify the additional couple hundred bucks to go with the mini 6 or the iPad Air. And call me old, but I love the simplicity of the traditional “Home” button.
I think I kind of stole it @ $299…

The Bella Pro Series 2-qt. Touchscreen Air Fryer is disguised as compact air fryer. However, after using it for three weeks I discovered this versatile air fryer is an efficient counter top appliance, which enables healthier cooking for Grandma and me. I can Air Fry, Broil, Bake, Roast, and Reheat with little or no oil. And, the best part is that healthier air fried foods are just as tasty and delicious as if they were deep-fat fried. How cool is that?
This Bella Pro Series air Fryer is a cut above the rest of the Bella Houseware Kitchen products and is designed for higher performance. It is made of mostly plastic with a non-stick coated steel frying basket and crisping tray. The frying basket has a 'cool-touch' handle, and the body of the whole unit is finished in finger print resistant, matte black. It blends in with all of my Kitchen appliances and the bottom of this unit has four rubberized non-skid feet to keep it stable. It is lightweight enough to be portable and I often move it about on different places as needed. My counter tops are heat resistant. The manufacturer suggests placing this air fryer on heat-resistant work spaces in order to avoid counter top damage. This unit pulls in air to circulate over the 1200 watt heating element in a circular vent at the top of the unit. Heat is exhausted out of the back of this unit so the manufacturer suggest to keep a four inch clearance from walls or other objects during operation. When removing the frying basket it is important to place it on a heat-resistant surface, or trivet because it will be hot.
Advantages of this Bella Pro Series 2-qt. Touchscreen Air Fryer:
* Healthier cooking using little or NO oils whatsoever. Air Frying is the new approach to reduce cholesterol and polyunsaturated fatty acids in cooking oils. Again, I am amazed at how tasty air frying is and good for my health too. YooHoo!
* Quickly cooks vegetables, meats, fish, and poultry without preheating. Holds up to to two quarts of volume. Enough French Fries to serve my four Grand Kids when they visit and want a snack. WoW!
* High performance circular heat technology. Distributes heated air flow for faster cooking. It cooks the foods more evenly and makes them crispier too. YUMMY!
* Responsive and easy to learn Touchscreen Controls. Preset functions with preset temperatures and times. However, the time and temperature can easily be changed manually at any time during the cooking process. By using the marked Up & Down Time and Temperature arrows both Time & Temperature can be decreased, and, or Increased. This is important when cooking foods, then pausing to shake, and or, turn the food items half way through the cooking process. I can easily tell when I need to add or increase the temperature or time.
* Safety features include the pausing of the preset cooking choices when the frying basket is pulled out of the air fryer. The cooking process will resume immediately when the fryer basket is installed back into the main body. The unit will Not cook if the fryer basket is NOT installed. The unit can be turned OFF by pressing the Power Button for two seconds. After 60 minutes this unit will automatically turn OFF and sound an audible tone.
* Care and Maintenance is NOT complicated. The frying basket and crisping tray are easily cleaned in my Kitchen sink with soapy water, and. by hand as I prefer. They can also be put in the Dishwasher, but I think they last longer if cleaned by hand. The main body of this Bella air fryer can easily be cleaned with a damp dish cloth.
* Be aware there is a learning curve to the process of air frying. Pausing the cooking process half way through the presets is very important. I can easily determine if I need to continue with the same preset Times and Temperature, or, if either one needs to be changed. The Bella Touchscreen makes this a simple adjustment.
* Tips – Placing a piece of aluminum foil under the crisping tray makes clean-up much easier, especially when air frying, roasting,or broiling fatty meats. Make sure the 'shiny' side is facing up. It reflects heat much better under the crisping tray. Try re-heating foods in this Bella instead of your microwave. This Bella reheats foods more evenly and thoroughly. Love It!
* This Bella Air Fryer is quite an energy saver compared to my conventional six cubic foot oven. The Bella only uses 1.2 KW, while my conventional oven uses upwards to 4 KW and takes much longer to preheat and cook. The Bella is fantastic in comparison.
I highly recommend this Bella Pro Series 2-qt. Touchscreen Air Fryer. Me and Grandma are amazed how quickly this unit prepares our foods in less time then it takes to preheat my conventional oven. We were very skeptical at first because healthier foods aren't supposed to taste this good, or are they? Buy a Bella Air Fryer and find our for yourself . This unit is ideal for a couple, or family of four with two small children. This Bella is inexpensive, and may actually pay for itself over time compared to using your conventional oven. Makes a great wedding, housewarming, or just a special gift to that particular person or family member on your list.
