Bought this for use with a DVR recorder as the sole memory unit. Therefore it gets used for about 4 hours or more per day. Just plugged it in and it has worked perfectly in the background flawlessly now for 21 months. It does not get hot and performs perfectly. Was very good value. Would absolutely purchase again.

Drying not good! Not the best quality/price

Have had this unit for 20 months. If loaded correctly, gets the dishes clean. [I wish there were more choices for apartment (18") size dishwashers.]
Ran very quite at first, but then got louder and developed a knocking sound. Under warranty had two repair men out, couldn't find problem and tried a few different parts. Finally figured was the middle rack height adjustment pieces became unaligned. Everything inside is plastic and kind of cheap for the price we paid. Now we have to check those pieces every few washes. I just hope they don't completely wear out. Also, the drying is terrible. Uses super high heat, but does not vent out the humid air, so really never dries, just condenses on the walls of the unit. Therefore unit begins to smell unless you leave the door open for a half day or so after use. Soap dispenser, seems so weak and ready to break or wear out soon and is hard to close. Also, the door seems light for the hinge/spring tension and feels cheap.
However, I am comparing this to the Miele we had before for 20+ years. It still looked and operated like new, until a computer control panel went out which was too expensive to replace on a 20+ year old machine. Since the Bosch cost only 2/3rds of the Miele, we though we could give it a try. It looks good from the front, but otherwise seems much cheaper construction and materials than the Miele and wish we had paid the higher price and be proud of our purchase.

Don't like the need to select input in start up.

The set up was a bit more difficult than our past TV's, but once set up worked OK. Our particular concern was the TV was for an elderly man who only watched cable TV. This TV required the use of the Samsung remote every time the TV was turned on, to select an input. It could not be set up to turn on to the cable box input automatically (or the last input that was being watched). Therefore, instead of just the one cable box remote, you must use both remotes to get the set watching cable.
