I'm not sure whether the lag I get is from the Tablo DVR that stores data on this drive, or from the drive itself. Every now and then it buffers when playing shows I have recorded. Other than that, it's an insane amount of storage which pleases me greatly. :)

Love the picture clarity, but coming from a plasma, I find watching this tv less than pleasant. I find motion to be rather choppy(?) I guess you'd call it. Plasma is so smooth... I don't know why they can't make an LED TV with smoother motion. In this day and age of technology, it seems weird to me that we're going backward in viewing quality....
I rated ease of use excellent, but in fairness, we had it installed (mounted over fireplace) so there wasn't any struggle on our part to figure out how to set it up.

I have read that this model cannot be mounted over a fireplace. What are the specifics on this? Above my fireplace is drywall not stone or brick.
All I can tell you is the geek squad mounted it over my fireplace, so I wouldn't think they'd do that if it was a no-no.... Key is following your fireplace's guidelines about distance to your mantle... then the mantle kind of provides some protection from heat blowing up directly on the TV.
