Yes, its pricey, but its well worth the price. I am using this for college classes (paperless) and personal email etc.

Yes, this does protect the screen, but I am having issues with the protective screen adhering to the sides. Constantly rubbing the "bubbles" off and they reappear within hours.

Battery life is much better on this phone. I can go a few without needing to charge, depending on usage of course. Phone is much quicker, colors are more vibrant.
I did take some adjusting to not having the home button.
Highly recommended just for the sake of battery life.
