ABSOLUTELY JUNK!

As soon as I hooked up the AX12 my ADT system went down...later found out that the AX12 and the ADT router had to be separate by a greater distance. Did not have this issue with my X10. All of my Blu-ray players, all of which are within a year or two old, stopped connecting to the internet. Phones and ipads would just drop their connections. My printer would drop connection. The router would not retain the NTP time setting. I could go on forever with my issues with the router and no, a firmware update did not fix anything. After about two weeks of nothing but headaches I did find a fix that resolved all of my issues...returned in and got me another X10. The joy has not been returned to my household. Netgear lost a lot of points with me for poor performance of a $500 router! Looking at trying an ASUS next.

As a Netgear Beta tester I have tested a lot of products that are the same as others out there. Not the Nighthawk Pro Gaming AD7200 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Router. The Nighthawk stands out above all other gaming routers. From the start of testing this product it shows that Netgear has stepped up they're game and sets the nighthawk above all others. Starting with the DUMAOS, unlike most routers that use flash system this is a complete OS that is running the router. It has amazing settings and speed that will not disappoint being if your hard wired or on Wifi. I replaced my old linksys gaming router and never looked back.
For the media buffs you will enjoy the Plex Media Server integration, it is easy to setup and can map to network drives with ease. Also if you use a VPN services like NorVPN or another service you will enjoy the Hybrid VPN. The VPN service works great and is great to have integrated into a system with having to use a flash program like DD-WRT, Asuswrt-Merlin or Tomato.
So take it from a Beta tester this is the one you have been looking for!

Thunking about the XR700. Currently have the X10/R9000. I have kids and running two xbox ones and a PlayStation 4. I have to reboot frequently, not sure I'd unit is bad or not. Any advantage to going with XR700 over the X10/R9000?

Under the features it says it has an integraded (sp?) modem, so with this alone can I get tv, internet, cell phone etc? Thanks
Depends on your service provider. I know with Fios you will probably still have the phone, TV and internet, but things like the TV Guide and the caller ID display on your TV's will be lost unless you use there router (just put it in bridge mode).

How many square feet does this modem cover? Netgear's ads say a "large" house, but I have no idea what this means.
