Solid with some "quirks"

Purchased to review a bunch of old burned DVDs and CDs.
Sometimes I have to disconnect and reconnect for it read disc. Would be nice if eject button overrode any failed attempt to read disc so that one may eject. I have a handy paper clip on the desk at all times as eject fails often.
...and for those that tell me its user error, Apple external works fine every time....
