Great to protect eyes and see solar eclipses

I read about these in a Wirecutter article; Amazon ran out but BB had them at a great price. We traveled to see totality and these viewers blocked the harmful light and also magnified the image. They fold up for storage and easily assemble for use. The cardboard is sturdy enough but I would re-fold them carefully when not in use.

Don't even consider rubber hoses!

After a rubber hose failed, causing a water disaster that cost thousands of dollars to fix, I will never buy plain rubber hoses for a washer. For a few bucks more, the stainless jacketed hoses are far less likely to bulge and break. Best Buy will price match big box appliance seller prices, so do your homework and come prepared to show the sales person. Another tip: turn off the water to the hoses when you will be away from home for any significant amount of time. They will last longer and you will lower your risk of an extremely unpleasant event.

Power to dry your clothes

Given the cost of a nice dryer these days, one would think the cord included in the price, but one has buy this separately from the dryer. The reason: different homes have different 240v outlets so the manufacturer cannot provide all the variants. It's a profitable little add-on, and Best Buy, to their credit, will price match other big box appliance sellers, so do your homework, bring proof (even if it's on your phone) and they will match. As to performance of this cord, well, if the dryer works, the breaker doesn't blow, and nothing catches on fire, I rate it excellent.

If your laundry room ceiling is high enough, this stacking kit will save a lot of floor space and also make it easier to transfer clothes from washer to dryer. The dryer goes on top because it weighs less and doesn't vibrate as much as the washer. A great alternative to all-in-one washer dryer combos (which cost about the same as separate washer and dryer combos) with better wash quality and higher reliability. Shorter people may have some issues seeing into the dryer without assistance, so make sure you look for missing socks and tiny clothing.

The delivery came on schedule, the technicians laid out a drop cloth to protect the floors, and they either removed or protected their shoes (it was raining outside). They stacked the dryer on the washer using the included installation kit and made sure the dryer and washer doors opened in the same direction so it was easy to move clothes. This is my second LG dryer. They work well and don't seem to need repairs. This one will connect to WiFi and let you know when the load is done, which may be helpful if you're in a big house and too far to hear the pleasant tune. To save space, this dryer can stack atop a matching washer (with a stacking kit) which saves a lot of floor space. The installer aligned both the washer and dryer door which makes it easy to move clothes from washer to dryer. The only drawback is that shorter people may not be able to see all the way into the dryer without assistance.

I’m replacing my LG washer that went out with this model. The DLE3500W is deeper by 1 1/2”+ and I’m wondering if there is an adaptor kit that will allow me to stack it over my original washer. The original washer is the WM2 688HNM with DLE8377NM dryer
