My second Asus and first Chromebook.

I've had an Asus for the last six plus years. I've loved it! But, it's now having issues so needed to get something to keep me going. Purchased a Geo GeoBook which was a HUGE disappointment. They ended up sending me two, had to return to the store in Bismarck ND (a three hour drive each way!) and they even tried to get a third one out of their stock to run. No go! Each needed Windows reinstalled, which they tried and they couldn't even do that. I definitely do not recommend GeoBooks!
They made good on all this at the Best Buy store and set me up with this Asus 2 in 1 Chromebook.
This Asus on the other hand is doing just fine so far. No problems and hopefully won't have any. Based on my experience with my first Asus I'm sure it will be a great machine. I've never owned a Chomebook till now but so far, so good. I definitely can recommend this and as far as I'm concerned Asus as a brand. Great machines which keep on truckin'.
They told me they can bump up all my memory on this one as well so I definitely plan to have them do that in the not too distant future. Basically it will match my first Asus other than with a smaller screw... 14 instead of 17 but has the touch screen, 2 in 1 setup and lighted keyboard as well. Everything my original has. So far, so good!

I purchased this to replace my Kindle Fire HD I purchased when they first came out. It's lasted and run flawlessly all these many years but finally the battery gave out. Would LOVE to get a new one installed if they do that but I don't know if they do. That tablet had terrific sound... basically surround sound believe it or not.
This one is a bigger screen than my first. Honestly the sound is good but not like the surround sound quality from my original. But good, clear, loud sound when needed. Easy to setup and use. So far I love it and am very pleased with this purchase. I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone needing a good tablet and if this lasts nearly as long as my first one you won't need a new one for years to come if you get one.

Geo GeoBook 240... the little laptop that couldn't

Bought this after seeing very good ratings and reviews. Received it about a week after ordering. Plugged it in and charged it per the instructions. Didn't even open it till it had charged the recommended time. Opened, turned on, long story short I needed to reinstalled windows.
Called Bestbuy, told them the situation, they sent me another one. It arrived about a week later... same exact problem. I've NEVER purchased a computer in my life that didn't have the operating system properly installed and all I had to do was turn it on and start using it.
These were a massive disappointment. Ended up having to go to one of our Best Buy stores... we have one in Fargo and one in Bismarck... that being the one we went to. Once there, went to the Geek Squad techs, told them the problem. He had gotten another out of stock, same problem, worked on them for over four hours trying to reinstall windows. No go. So he made it good and I left with a great ASUS Chromebook... Asus being the brand I've used for the last six plus years.
I truly hate to leave a bad review. I'd wanted to give this maker a chance... I'd never seen a computer made in England before. This is what they give out to their students in schools. Well, no idea if we just got a bad batch or what, but as we couldn't even get any of the three we tried (my two and Best Buy's additional one) I've no idea if it's any good or not... once you are able to get it booted up that is. We couldn't so... I definitely would not recommend this to anyone. Go with brands you know and trust.

Winchester 73 DVD 1967

An all time classic redone for TV. John Saxon and the rest of the cast do a good job but the original with Jimmy Stewart is just heads and tails above. But definitely worth getting! I have both on DVD and enjoy them thoroughly. Story revolves around the Winchester 73 rifle and those who come into possession of it as well as the man being hunted which ends up as a surprise itself. Glad they put this out as a lot of TV movies have never been released and there were lots of good ones over the years.

Yet another great series that ended far too soon. Watched some eps when it first aired... Karl Urban being the draw as we loved him in Star Trek. Was really getting into this one then blam, cancelled. So was very happy when they released the DVD so we could at least see the rest of the eps we missed the first time around. Again wish there were more seasons but it's an enjoyable series nonetheless.

A GREAT movie! So funny! Saw it more years ago than I want to remember. Been waiting forever for it to be released on DVD. With the cast in this how can you go wrong. Some of the all time greats. The story is great and the scheme behind it makes perfect sense. A classic that should have been out on DVD far too many years ago. But glad they finally got it done. I got the Blu-ray but think I'm going to get it on the regular DVD too.

Just got it today, hooked it up to my Xbox One, did the format and away it went. No problems. Chiming right along and now have tons of room for more games which is just what I needed. I trust Seagate drives... it's primarily what I've always used. Very trouble free. Couldn't be easier to hook up and use on the Xbox One. Plus, format and play. If you use it on a computer, etc., you don't even have to format it. Powered via the hookup so no extra plugs required. Very happy with it as I knew I would be. Seagate does a good job!

I JUST received my brand new Geobook 240. I plugged it in and let it charge. A few hours later I opened it, turned it on only to have it immediately go to the Recovery. That's all it will do. What do I do to fix this? I'm not a techie.

Is this what I need to add memory to my Xbox one ie to install more games
Yes it is. It's made for just that, although it can be used as is (prior to formating) on computers, etc. But when you get it, you plug in the cable to the drive, the other end (USB) to the port (you'll see two of them... pics in the documentation) on the back of the Xbox One. I'd recommend doing this when the system is off. Mine was on and didn't recognize the drive... I did a restart and there it was.
How to transfer Xbox games to an external hard drive
Open the Settings app on Xbox One.
Navigate to the System tab.
Select Storage.
Scroll over to the right to select the internal drive.
Select Transfer. ...
Select items you plan to transfer. ...
Choose Copy selected to copy the items between drives.
During this process you'll get a prompt re: formatting the drive which only takes about a minute or so.
Very simple and will give you tons of space for more games. Good luck!
