This thing is amazing for $300. Great quality, a full-function Chromebook, the screen is the perfect size to use to watch video in tent mode on an airplane tray or in a car seat, and a good tablet, too.
For your $300, you get the tablet AND a keyboard AND a stand that allows you to use the tablet and keyboard in desktop mode or just the tablet propped up for video viewing.
The included 10W charger does the job, but if you use a more powerful charger you can double your charging speed. The Duet uses USB-C PD charging and will charge at up to 18W (9V @ 2A) if your charger supplies that.

If you're looking for a $1500 gaming beast, this ain't it.
But for $250, it's amazing to get an i3 processor and a touch screen. This machine handles all the basics with aplomb.
I use this machine to run all my non-browser applications, i.e. the ones that only come as .exe files. It's great to manage my several-thousand-book ebook library, data bases that index my print media, CD/DVD/Blu-ray/UHD disks, etc. and act as a host for my NAS disks that I use to back up all my other machines. I'm thinking of hooing it up to my 4K internet TVs as a local streaming host. It seems to have plenty of power to do that.

Very good UHD transfer

I've had the DVD and then the Blu-ray versions of Fifth Element and got this to get the superior quality of 4K UHD. The upgrade does not disappoint, with the new transfer taking full advantage of additional detail where available in the original master.
Note that the streaming code gives you a 4K stream in Movies Anywhere but only an HDX stream in Vudu.

Can this bypass a broken chainpull fan switch (thereby avoiding purchase of a new fan), where the light switch works?
If the chain pull is broken in the always full-on position, this will almost certainly work. If the chain pull is broken in the always off or slow position, you either need a new fan or you need to replace the chain pull. For most fans, chain pull switch replacement are readily available at you local hardware store. Or you could remove the chain pull and wire the fan to be always on, if you have a bit of electrical expertise.

This machine has Bluetooth, which means that, in general, the answer is yes. But no one can guarantee that every Bluetooth accessory will work, since there is a lot of Bluetooth crap on the market that has badly-designed and not fully compliant drivers and/or chips. If your speaker works with several other Windows PCs, the answer is probably Yes. If you've had trouble playing from other PCs, the answer may be No.

Hi, does upgrading your Ram and hard drive void your warranty on your laptop? thanks Jim
It's as HP posted in their answer, but SAVE ANY PARTS YOU REMOVE, and if you need to return it for warranty, put everything back just like you bought it. That makes it easier on the tech who is looking at it, and sometimes a warranty claim will result in a replacement machine, which means that you would lose everything non-factory you left in the machine.

is this windows 10 in S Mode?
It comes in S mode, but it takes about 5 minutes, if you're slow, to take it out of S mode, including looking up the answer. Google something like "take Windows out of S mode" to get the instructions.
