I originally bought it because I like knowing who is at the door while I'm upstairs but the recording aspect is awesome. It was a life saver when Fedex messed up recently and took the wrong package. If I didn't have the recording to see they made a mistake I would have thought the package was stolen and would have re-purchased the product.
