In a city populated by waves of ~migr~ elemental entities, fiery Ember Lumen (voiced by Leah Lewis) was feeling the heat of taking over her first-gen folks' convenience store. When her temper results in a ruinous citation from liquid local inspector Wade Ripple (Mamoudou Athie), her efforts to sway him lead to their stopping a civic disaster-and perhaps finding cross-cultural romance. This is one of the best Disney/Pixar movies I've seen in years. The commercials didn't do it any favors, my wife and I almost skipped it entirely. Thankfully, we were talked into watching it. We both loved it, and watched it in theaters again before buying it here. Great movie.
